There was previously a rumour that Spoiler: rumour The clockwork robots from GITFace would be back in season 8. Whether any of it's true, I wouldn't know.
Going back to check the rumour, it supposedly refers to the Victorian-set season opener, though. Oh, trivia spot- the Inspector from Vastra Investigates is in that, and now has a name- Inspector Gregson. Who, of course, is Lestrade's rival in A Study in Scarlet...
And the basis for Captain Gregson in CBS's Elementary. And probably half of the basis for Sherlock's Greg Lestrade.
Another guest cast member revealed. http://www.doctorwho.tv/whats-new/article/ben-miller-to-guest-star-in-new-series-of-doctor-who Thats the trouble with being an American fan. I don't know who half these people are.
Agreed, but, in this case, I know Ben Miller from Primeval, and I think it's awesome he'll be guest starring
AHA! Thank you for that. The face was familiar, but I couldn't remember from where and hate to break down and Google everything!
Photo from the 'Robots' title episode which would seem to confirm rumours. Spoilerish! https://mobile.twitter.com/ryanfarrr/status/455762515172261889/photo/1
Filming from yesterday with birthday party for Peter Capaldi [YT]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n42SVe2mWTU[/YT] The lovely forest maiden Jenna Coleman That's a lovely photo of Jenna
And when acting distracted him he was working on his physics phD, about unexplained quantum effects in nebula gas clouds IIRC.
Slightly more here, including a clear shot of Capaldi in his purplish shirt. http://www.doctorwhotv.co.uk/series-8-filming-a-merry-day-62438.htm I'm liking how this Doctor sees fit to change his shirt every week, it seems. He'll have a BUNCH of action figures at this rate. Or, they'll bring back the water change gimmick! Just dunk your Capaldoc into the sink for a brand new look! Mark
I meant in general. Though to be fair, back when Doctor Who was on PBS, a common pledge reward was a disappearing TARDIS mug. Coffee in, time machine gone! Mark
I have a Doctor Who button that changes color from body heat. I got it at one of those touring convention things that came through town in the mid-'80s, and I discovered not long ago that I still have it.
Nice when that happens, isn't it? Just found I have two tardis keys for some reason... but lost an original Recall UNIT badge on 23-11!
I had a couple of TARDIS-key keychains over the years, based on the "spade" design that the Third and Fourth (and later Eighth) Doctors used, but their metal was so soft that the key ring eventually tore through it, which is why I had to get a second one and then eventually gave up on them when it failed even quicker than the first had.
