So the past few months, I've been all about the health food. Reading labels, thinking about sodium, and avoiding all the good stuff. Now, I want some junk food! What about you folks? What is the absolute worst for your health junk food that you enjoy and would recommend?
The junk food muse has spoken to me... Hasbrowns, sausage, bacon, cheese, ham, and gravy. With plenty of grease and salt.
I agree that these are quite tasty. But, I fear that for someone who ultimately chose this ... ... Jelly Bellies wouldn't be anywhere NEAR unhealthy enough. Oh, and MetalPants, nicely done. I love good greasy breakfast food. Never get it, but I love it. I recently visited my family in my home state and had biscuits and sausage gravy, with eggs (and sometimes cheese) and hash browns 5 of the 7 days I was there. It was SO bad for me, but tasted SO good. It'll probably be another 7 years before I have it again ... if the heart attack doesn't take me first. LOL!
Mcdonalds Quarter pounder with Cheese plus a lovely chocolate sundue But what l find is some cashiers will give you the chocolate sundue and it will be full of icecream but not enough topping or it is spilling over the cup. They dont seem to teach the staff the basic skills of making things
Double bacon cheeseburger with extra ranch dressing and mayo with extra bleucheese. But have your cardiologist on speed dial.
NOOOO, no, no, no, no! Here's the perfect burger: 3 patties, pepper-jack cheese, red onions, and plenty of ketchup and sweet pickle relish
I'm a sucker for ice cream and anything resembling or derivative thereof: yoghurt (frozen or otherwise), gelati, thickshakes, etc. I treated myself to a McDonald's thickshake last night and it totally wrecked my sleep; my body evidently having grown accustomed to minimal sugar intake.
I happen to like Quarter Pounders with cheese. And double Quarter Pounders. Chacun à son goût. I also like convenience-store hot dogs with plenty of mustard and chopped onions, but I don't know if they're unhealthy enough to count as junk food. They actually have some protein in them. Oh, and Fritos!
Hey! That's not junk food! Granted, it's a bit on the heavy side, but really, compared with the chemicals they want to pass for food that you can find in any supermarket, I'll take that breakfast any day and twice on Sunday. Especially because I have a long going love affair with bacon, but that's another story. If you say junk food I think of Fritos, Cheetos, Oreos, Mars bars, gummy bears... all of which will go very well with an action comedy on movie night. Nutritional value: zero. Damage to your health: 100%. That's junk food.
I mostly eat the healthy stuff now, but when I occasionally indulge myself I get a cheeseburger, a Burker King Chicken Sandwich, a Hungry Man Fried Chicken Dinner or a big breakfast of fried eggs, bacon and corned-beef hash.
Actually, that was dinner last night. And when you figure that on average my meals are morning-cereal, lunch-salad, and dinner-etiher more cereal or a baked chicken breast, something like the hashbrowns and all is junk food.
You know, I really don't have any real vices. I don't smoke, don't drink, don't do drugs, don't beat my wife, don't cheat on her, don't gamble to excess, I hold a job. I figure I'm entitled to a little nice gluttony. That said, I'm going to sit down and eat an entire box of Twinkies.
