With the passing of Kate Woodville (Natira) I believe only one 'leader of a world' is alive (the actor that is) Care to guess who it is? And of course it will turn out that I'm wrong and several actors who played leaders will actually be alive............
http://en.memory-alpha.org/wiki/Michael_Dante ? Edit: plus http://en.memory-alpha.org/wiki/Marj_Dusay
I hate guessing games. You didn't even give a hint! Not to mention you weren't even sure you were right.
Marj Dusay (Spock's Brain) is still alive. Julie Newmar (Friday's Child) is still alive...no idea if the baby is.
Dante and Newmar are right. I'm talking TOS here so no Kurtwood Smith. Marj dusay as well I forgot them. But not who I was thinking of.
It may just be a matter of semantics, but I've always considered the TV series and the films featuring the original cast to be one and the same. --Sran
She was the leader of the planet? she was against the whole arrangement and was forced to do it by 'the council'. sounds like a figurehead to me. And Apollo---so the only guy on a planet is the leader of the planet? Still not the one person I was thinking of........
Okay, I'll keep biting . . . Michael J. Pollard from Miri is alive . . . Kim Darby too for that matter. Meanwhile, I'll keep thinking . . .
And, back into the gray area; do you consider Amb. Hodin from The Mark of Gideon the planet's leader? If so, David Hurst is still alive. And grayer yet; do you consider the Vian 'leader' from The Empath to be a planetary leader? If so, Alan Bergmann is also alive.
Lee Meriwether is still alive. Leader (the real Losira) of the Kalandan outpost. It's an artificial/minor world but that could be argued about "The World is Hollow..." also.
Actually Hodin (Hurst) is who I was thinking of. I don't know if it was said that the Vian experiment leader was the leader of his world, but these are not hard and fast rules.
Well Natira was leader of her entire people and their world and Losira was leader of an outpost--probably taking orders from the actual leader of her race, but good catch on her anyway.
