@Captain Craig...the Age of Ultron is an event. It's been teased for the last year or so in "Avengers" (really since the first arc of the current volume) and there is speculation that it is Bendis' final arc on the book. I'm guessing Moon Knight will appear due to his previous membership in Secret Avengers.

Ah, I haven't been reading Avengers in "real time". I keep meaning to get the trades but haven't yet. That explains that, thanks!

Re: Heroic Age/Avengers Ongoing Discussion Thread (Spoilers)

The whole Marcus-Nick Fury has 34+ pages of discussion alone over at comicbookresources and Steve Wacker has been chiming in at times as well. Calling people out even. A fairly good read through of a thread.

Knowing that as Breevport says they are "having their cake and eating it to" is a bit reassuring. "Classic" Nick is going to remain more back seat though, he made that fairly clear as well even if Classic shows up in Defenders or elsewhere. Action moments are going to Marcus-Nick and he will be showing up more frequently now.

So the Infinity Formula is gone, I'm wondering then if they have any motivation to "find" some more? Perhaps prop up another McGuffin to keep Classic Nick around now? I feel a death coming up at some point for some crossover in the next few years...anyone else? Where he'll stay for some time biding his time till a resurrection but long enough to let Marcus-Nick become the dominant Fury in the 616MU.

Nick currently as TurtleTrekker I believe pointed out has been directing 'Tasha and Bucky's black ops missions in "Winter Solider" and also I believe is involved in the Defenders? "Battle Scars" tag line on the front cover of the book was "The Future of Marvel Comics Now" or something like that. I believe Nick's days are numbered, and I also believe there will be a couple major character deaths in Avengers Vs X-Men. Who? Don't know. I have also stated that I think there will be major changes in the status quo post AVX. We'll probably find out the direction at SDCC.

    Highly unlikely.

    That is always a given.

Odds are good for the Morrison Marvel Boy.

When the Hulk murdered him in the 90s, that death stuck for years.

Did they explain his resurrection, or was it that no argued with Garth when he started using the old Bastard in Punisher.

Annilahus (I probably butchered his name) has gone from galaxy wide threat to being chained to a bathroom in Peter Parker and Johnny Storm's apartment :) Ah...Hickman you glorious bastard!!!

FF#17: This was just over the top fun! Hickman lets loose after some pretty serious story telling as Johnny annoys Peter for the entire issue. Johnny dancing and hitting on MJ was a little awkward considering what Slott seems to be doing with her in Amazing but still fun and goes with the tongue in cheek motif of the issue. This doesn't really address Peter's "fate" with the Future Foundation though IMO. Unless kicking Johnny out of the apartment was his way of saying he is done lol. The final panel of the issue though was huge pay off!!

    Next week's releases...

    Age of Apocalypse #3
    Amazing Spider-Man #685
    Avengers Academy #29
    Avengers Vs. X-Men #3
    Daredevil #12
    The Defenders #6
Dorothy & the Wizard in Oz #6
    Exiled #1
    Hulk Smash Avengers #1
    Invincible Iron Man #516
Marvel's The Avengers: The Avengers Initiative #1
    Ultimate Comics Spider-Man #10
    Venom #17
    Wolverine & the X-Men: Alpha & Omega #5
    X-Factor #235
    X-Men #28

    My pulls-
Avengers Academy 29 (AvX crossover. Looking forward to this as AA is one Marvel's most consitently good books)
    Avengers vs. X-Men 3
Daredevil 12 (Really? Issue 11 came out just last week. Going from DD 10 to 10.1 to the crossover to this makes 6 straight weeks of Daredevil!)
    Defenders 6
Exiled 1-The first part of the Journey into Mystery/New Mutants crossover. JiM is another of Marvel's most consistently good books.

Will thumb through Marvel's The Avengers: The Avengers Initiative #1 and probably pick it up. I have all of the other "movie-verse" comics, so why not this one as well?

    It's not goodness.

He was magnificent in Howard the duck.

He's been gangbusters in Thunderbolts of late.

But any and every onging Manthing comic I have ever tried to read has been a bit shit.

I usually trade-wait the Hickman FF stuff (and am behind even on that), but I can't resist a Storm/Parker one-shot. Really good fun.

Re: Heroic Age/Avengers Ongoing Discussion Thread (Spoilers)

I read a years worth of New mutant comics last night.

The creative team changed since I cut it loose and...

Magmas new boyfriend is smoking hot!

Poor Doug Ramsey is caught in an unfortunate love triangle with an Indian and a hippy.

Why the hell won't some one buy Nate Grey some damn shoes!

You can't walk around in a city with no shoes and not expect to get beat down by the cops!

Sunspot keeps talking about how he is independently wealthy.

    BUY THE X-MAN SOME SHOES!

I liked the opening Nate Grey Sugar Man arc, and the art, but everything after that was intensely uninteresting.
