Rumour has it that the owners were feeling the team was getting distracted by his getting linked with every managerial vacancy going and had to act (and that he himself was floating his name around!). That plus he's prone to some real dressing room rages.... Still massively harsh - played 55, lost 3!!! Arsenal were comically bad.
But he'd already gone out of his way distance himself from some jobs, ie Leicester. I dunno, I thought Leeds sacking Grayson was going to be daftest sacking of the season (talking of which, Bates and Warnock? Let the sparks fly) but this does take the biscuit. Be interesting to see where clark goes now.
^^ T'would have worked either way! Billy was never getting that job though, too much history between him and Leeds from his Preston days.
I thought that was Forest winning at home..... Coincidence that the Bates/Warnock/Leeds link up comes mere days after Forest get one.....Oh er, we're all doooooooooooomed!
I thought Warnock hated Leeds. Obviously not. Can't see Grayson getting Huddersfield up either. His solution to drawing too many games will be to lose more of them.
Of the players he needed to drop he choose to have Ashley Cole on the bench last night for Boswinga oooo bye bye AVB.
AVB is a dead man walking. Chelski have been playing catch-up every since the Special One got the boot and have never fully recovered. What are they on now? Six managers since Mourinho?
I'd put money on Mourinho being back there next season. Long since patched up his spat with Worzel, and Jose I imagine will win La Liga this year and then stick two fingers up at it. Either way, even if that doesn't happen, the chances of AVB still being there next year, are practically non-existant!
I would guess Mourinho is more likely to go to Liverpool or Manchester United (in fact I would be willing to bet the latter is the job he really wants) than back to Chelsea. He's not the type to walk a path he's already gone before.
I've been saying for a long time that Mourinho is the only man I could imagine taking over at Old Trafford when Fergie is eventually carried out of there in a box.
Hardly. He's only a couple years younger than Ferguson for a start and has won almost no trophies in his entire career as a manager.
