"Next Tuesday" is finally here and the Prius-class Shuttlecraft Zhang Heng is having phasers installed.

I am going to be adding TNG style labels. Which layout do you think is best:

    Which do you favor?

    The smaller blue one.

That said, I'm too distracted by the TOS phaser 2 being grafted on there. It looks awkward. If the rest of the shuttle is TNG-inspired, it would make more sense to have some kind of phaser stripe there instead.

Are those easily removed? Otherwise your resale value just went down the tubes.

The mirror covers are easily removed. I bought a set of new ones, when the originals got a bit road worn. I am using those (the old ones) for this project. So far, I have done nothing to the car, other than the upgrade to the stereo system, that I couldn't reverse in a day or two.

OTOH, some Trekkie may want a car . . .

Somewhere deep inside those people there's a part of them that's screaming "WTF HAVE I DONE TO MY CAR! What was I thinking?" It must take a fair bit of suppressing.

Not me. It brings a smile everyday, and has literally changed my life. Almost everyone in the Road Squadron (which includes Shawn's X-wing linked above), loves their cars. Noone has reversed their alterations that I know of, and several have driven them till they fall apart or are totalled.

    Break the mold, I say.

Now, which of the label designs did you prefer?

Number 3, the small ones. They look more like the warning stickers you'd get on a fighter, rather than the big explanatory label you might find listing contents in a cupboard.

I think they look silly and out of place there. Mount them some where under the front bumper, like where the fog lights go.

I have decided, with the help of all your suggestions, to go with # 2, slightly larger, and in red. A compromise with elements of all three designs.

    Thanks for your input.

Looks good. Red is always a good choice for a capsule label. I still find that amputated TOS phaser really distracting, though.

Maybe it needs a base plate to make a transition between it and the mirror cover. Like this?

A smaller, simpler (though more detailed) base?
