Star Trek fans have been designing their own ST ships since TOS. What are your favorites? Judged by "coolness factor" and fitting into the ST universe.
Both of mine are pre-TOS ships: Masao Okazaki's UES Amarillo, CC-33 http://www.starfleet-museum.org/amarillo.jpg Andrew Marsden's ESS Aachen, XCV-70 http://www.cygnus-x1.net/links/lcars/ess-aachen-xcv-770.php
Balson It is the refit Dreadnaught, slightly stretched secondary hull. I just want refit nacelle supports and a slightly wider saucer.
Quite a bit of Forbin's kitbashes. And Franz Joseph's Destroyer, Scout and Dreadnought will always be part of my own personal canon.
BolianAdmiral's Gemini-class (TOS) Vektor's Vanguard (pre TOS) My own Hercules-class (pre TOS) Someone in the Art forum did a TMP era design based on a pre-production illustration that looked like it belonged right alongside the TMP refit design and the Reliant There are also a few designs on Masao's Starfleet Museum website that are very cool. In particular his 22nd century Powhatan-class and his TOS era Predator-class destroyer.
If they do, I never heard about it. My understanding was that there were only a few ships with the drive installed.
Suppose you'd have a link for this one? Sounds interesting and I'm having a spot of trouble finding it on search.
Yamato-class experimental battleship is fantastic IMO: It's not a fan design, but game design. I find most fan designs really bad. Also, I had a good image of that Star Empire somewhere, but I can't find it now. I really like it as well
Thank you for that,... but I don't do odd-numbered warp systems, if they're supposed to be a part of Gene's Universe.
