I know that feeling all too well - though I'm a little happier that I'm 50 lbs lighter than the pic I used and I can see more of my face, instead of my cheeks keeping it warm.

Your pic though reminds me a little of Matt Hardy - but thinner. Considering his female following it might not be a bad thing :p

I've got to say though, seeing myself is freaking me out!

^At least it'll clear things up for those few who still think I'm a dude.

    Thank you very much! :techman:

Oh, and I love the aura around K'ehleyr, too.

Looks cool! You kind of remind me of my mother actually, only with darker hair.

 Ha ha, Matt Hardy? If only ... But I can see the facial similarities. He's got the same neanderthal forehead as I do. My hair is washed, though. :shifty:

Yay! Were becoming more and more. Cool to see you.

But why? You three look great and perfectly normal to me. There's really nothing you should worry about. But as I said earlier, I don't want anyone to feel uncomfortable. If it isn't any fun to you anymore, please change it back to your normal avatar. :)

seriously, this is just about the only pic of me that I like . . .
I think I read on Cognitive Daily about how we're psychologically averse to images of ourselves
like if one were to see a picture of someone else who has the same physique, the reaction would be different than seeing the same sort of image of yourself

it's weird . . . I think I look best in the mirror, and any attempt at a self portrait I feel is awkward and not quite 'me'

Well, my avie isn't so much freaking me out as catching me unawares - I'll be skipping through a thread and all of a sudden I notice me from nearly twenty years ago looking straight at me....

    :D

    That's it -- it's seeing oneself unexpectedly. It's disconcerting in a fun way. :)
And you're a cutie! Actually, you look quite a lot like my sister, at least in that picture.

    Thank you. I think :shifty:

    Seriously, thanks.

    Thanks

And everyone here looks very good in their avatars. It was a great idea, Ncc1701.

Exactly. It's like suddenly spotting yourself in a reflection.

It is fun though - and since I'm having so much fun seeing everyone else, only fair that I share the pain :p

I was in a very dark and dismal place in the days where I walked the Earth with that haircut (and shave).

It's kind of good to see that things have changed.

Well, I guess I can understand that. It's definitely strange to see oneself in these threads, yeah. But I think I'm getting used to it. The thought of so many people participating now is rather encouraging, I might add.

Good, that's reassuring. I was afraid this could bother you too much. It's good to hear that you're having fun, too. :)

Thanks, Jenee. I'm just glad all of you are taking part. :techman:

Nice to meet you, brian. :)

Ha, I meant to ask you about that haircut. Did you lose a bet or something?
