star trek a stitch in time a good book?

One of the best Trek novels out there. It's a shame Andrew Robinson didn't write more.

 

I loved it. It's not just a good Star Trek novel- it's a good novel.

I absolutely loved A Stitch in Time, but his short story "The Calling" in Prophecy and Change was pretty poor, so I'm kind of unsure if it is a good or a bad thing that he didn't write more.

 

I very much enjoyed it; I'm re-reading the Iliana trilogy at the moment, and both Stitch and Fearful Symmetry do an excellent job of fleshing out Cardassian society, albeit with a focus on the Obsidian Order. I'm going to get around to reading The Never Ending Sacrifice soon, to continue my Cardassian education...

 

The Never Ending Sacrifice - GREAT book. As good as Stitch in Time, if not better.

Is A Stitch In Time considered part of the "relaunch" continuity? Yes, I understand the word continuity includes many definitions but is it referenced or considered by current authors?

 

In Avatar, Bashir's shown to be reading it. I think it was Nog who came up to Bashir asked asked what he was reading, when he replies it's a letter, Nog seemed flabbergasted he was on page 100something of a letter, then he said it was from Garak.

 

Alon Ghemor was introduced in A Stitch in Time; the Oralian Way was also first mentioned.

 

Yeah, alot of what we see of Cardassia in the novelverse comes from ASiT.

 

Its a fine, fine book. Even if I didn't care for some of Garek's backstory, it does not excludes that this was one of the best DS9 book before relunch.

 

To paraphrase Stephen Colbert, the real question is is this a great book or the greatest book?
