I saw this on yahoo and Captain Picard is still alive

    http://news.yahoo.com/blogs/trendin...quadruple-take--in-viral-video-183011254.html

I was browsing through the headlines and there was the picture of Captain Picard here he is with some guy named Patrick Stewart performing a "Quadruple Take".

I am very surprised he is still alive since he was very old in the series and previous movies, I thought the reason why they have the other movies is because he had died.

Sir Patrick is still going strong you've not waited through the credits of "The Wolverine" or read up anything on "Days of Future Past".

At the beginning of TNG he was in his early 50s but the character of Picard was in his his 60s. I suspect they stopped making TNG movies as "Nemesis" was a bit of a flop and the Trek PTB were burnt out and needing a break (look at the poor work on VOY and ENT).

Did you know that in reality, Captain Picard hasn't even been born yet? It's true!

In the books Picard leaves the Enterprise E for the USS Invincible, gets promoted to Admiral, and put in charge of the Vanguard Fleet. It's a neat story if you want to see what happens after Nemesis.
