My new workout routine involves me watching TV shows on my iPod while I do cardio. Lately I've been watching "How I Met Your Mother," and it's made cardio so much easier because it distracts me from my burning quads! Anyway, I am soon going to be out of episodes, and I'm looking for some new shows to try out. I don't want any hour-long shows (not yet anyway) because I only do cardio for about 20-30 minutes at the end of my lifting routine. So anybody got some good suggestions? Sitcoms are preferred, as they are usually fast-paced and keep me interested the whole time, but if anybody has any other ideas I'd love to hear them. I'm honestly considering one of the latest seasons of South Park, which I haven't been keeping up with, but I dunno. Maybe a few different shows that I can rotate through...
Big Bang Theory The Golden Girls Big Bang Theory The Jeff Dunham Show (new) Big Bang Theory Maude Oh, and before I forget it, Big Bang Theory.
The real dilemma here is that I have a lot of these shows already scheduled to come through Netflix, which I will be watching at home, so I don't want to download them as well. Oh, decisions! I didn't realize 30 Rock was only a half-hour show. That intrigues me. Also, is Big Bang Theory that show with the rock, paper, scissors, lizard, Spock thing? I saw that clip and thought it was absolutely retarded. Tell me the show is better than that.
Don't forget the classics. I Love Lucy, The Dick Van Dyke Show, Bewitched, and plenty of other comedies from the 1950s and 1960s are still great fun to watch.
I watched a couple random episodes in the first season, but I had a really hard time getting past Tracy Morgan.
I'm one of those few people in the world who actually hates Seinfeld. I cannot fathom why it was ever so popular.
You're not alone. Seinfeld was never funny. Not once in the decades he's been alive has the man ever uttered even one humorous phrase. The show carried this through to the end, consciously being as unfunny as possible.
Try watching it. You'll see. I feel the same way about Friends, and I've seen that. As for your exercise, how about MASH and the original Get Smart. Boht have the occasional bad episode, but both are well worth your time.
Seinfeld wasn't supposed to be funny. He was the straight man. Everybody around him was funny, and that's what made the show good.
The problem with that line of reasoning is that no one on the show was funny. There was not one second during the entire run of the show which was even slightly amusing.
My favorite current sit coms: 30 Rock, The Office, Sunny in Philly, Mother, Big Bang Theory, 2.5 Men (not so much lately though), if you count animated then Simpsons, Family Guy, Venture Bros, South Park...
Sports Night, Fraiser, and Futurama are my three favorites to watch on the treadmill. Big Bang Theory is a good show, but it does get a little annoying from time to time.
