Oddly, while my last cat was pretty terrified of just about everything, I trained her as a kitten to be pretty indifferent about the vacuum. I mean, she'd keep a close eye on it, but wouldn't really tense up or run away in terror like most cats.
Got Krazy Kat and Top Cat in there, heh. No Le Chat Noir poster, but there's a note about how that was one of several things omitted due to space restrictions.
My name is Brewery Cat. Look on my works, ye mighty, and despair. Actually, her name is Angela Lansbury. She lives in the brewery.
Big cats and boxes. Just like house cats and boxes. [yt]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J11uu8L8FTY[/yt] The evidence strongly indicates that the ancestor of modern cats encountered the cardboard box before cats diverged into our modern species. But if that is true, what were very early hominids having delivered?
^If modern cats are any indication, cat toys. Expensive toys that sat unused on the cave floor as the cave cats explored the endless possbilities of boxes.
OH! Please bring Junior to NY so I can hold him for a couple minutes and get my hands in all that luscious fur!
*sigh* I adore Junior! I hope you don't get tired of me expressing my appreciation auntihill, but I really love seeing his pics. I've always wanted a Maine Coon cat, but Hubby has made it very clear that we will never have a long haired cat. I can't complain though. He loves cats...and when we lose Jack (in the far, far future!) he wants to adopt 2 youngish siblings (or good friends) from the local shelter. They just can't be long haired...so all shots of Junior are much appreciated!
Junior thanks you both for the compliments. Surprisingly enough, I think Junior sheds less than my previous cat, Max. Max was a orange and white tabby--an American short hair mix. There seemed to be hair all over my house. But with Junior, his undercoat (the lighter part) doesn't seem to shed as much as the dark top coat. So I will find clumps of dark hair that are easy to pick up, rather than tons of tiny white hairs scattered everywhere that hard to clean up. And since I brush Junior regularly (which he LOVES and Max HATED), it's easy to take care of his thick coat.
A good brushing is the solution to the shedding problem for almost all cats. Junior is real a beauty, Auntiehill.
