    Thanks sojourner
I had to look. photos here, here
    although
    here,

So I'm not so sure it is from the set of the Mission to Mars 2000 film. Yet I couldn't find it in photos from the older Horizons Epcot pavilion.

^It is the M2M set. The old Horizons station can be seen here:
    http://www.lostepcot.com/horizonspictures.html#spacefamily

I'm sure they just added the Horizons logo there as a little Easter egg, since Mission: Space is on the same site as the former Horizons ride.

The BBC did a movie length TV one called Space Odyssey which wasn't half bad. Can't remember when they did it though.

2004. see that Defying Gravity was inspiried by
I saw it too after I saw Defying Gravity. I liked the CGI a lot in it and could see that in Defying Gravity the international spacecraft Antares design which was very similar to the nuclear thermal rocket powered Pegasus spacecraft in Space Odyssey: Voyage to the Planets and it also reminded me of the Icarus II in the 2007 film Sunshine.
I would have liked a USA created series with a higher budget.
I'm a big fan of production design on ship-based scenes in scifi series and can appreciate the set designers and look of ships and space stations such as the early scenes in the Fantastic Four (2005) film even though they only last maybe 15 minutes on the space station.
Let's see what we'll get with Europa...

I think they will find a statue of an alien being on Europa. But I'm a big fan of Jack McDevitt.

    ^^ Me, too.

I'd rather see something Sense-of-Wonderish than yet another alien threat of some kind.

    update "Europa Report"

It looks like there is another film called Europa also now.
Directed by David Gidali. Produced by Avi Quijada.
here is a 1 minute trailer:
    EUROPA Trailer HD
It looks like a Canadian TV movie. I'm sorry.

an update on this feature film.
The title has been changed to Europa Report and there is a teaser trailer.
    Sci Fi Thriller genre with
    Director:Sebastián Cordero

The film was written by Philip Gelatt and produced by Wayfare Entertainment’s Ben Browning.

Production Designer Eugenio Caballero who received an Oscar nomination for his work on "Pan's Labyrinth."

source cool. a sci-fi film that might actually get most of the science right.

there is a 20 second length teaser trailer here or here.
Once there, you'll find a video looping footage of the crew (including Sharlto Copley) from inside the Europa One and some shots from the outside of the ship in space. It plays on a 14-minute loop. Watch it all here (youtube link).
part of the mission statement next to the video loop:

wow. i really want to see this.
we haven't had a movie like this since 2007's Sunshine.
and the TV series Defying Gravity with the generally similar plot: 'six-year space mission through the Solar System'.
It reminds me visually of the spaceflight of 2010: The Year We Make Contact (1984) and some of Mission to Mars (2000), Moon (2009) and Space Cowboys (2000). No ray guns, no space battles. Just scifi. It's been a long time since Sunshine and Moon was at the cinema.

This all sound very interesting, and in a few days I'm going to have to find the time to dig into it. Promising.

In terms of size, Europa is the fourth largest satellite.

    :)

after skimming the 14 minute video of inside Europa One and outside the ship it really looks very realistic the production design/art direction inside.

Look at this tour of the International Space Station and it looks familiar:
International Space Station Tour 2012 (HD) ISS Tour
    it is 55 minutes!
While Europa Report looks a little stylized like Moon (2009) inside the Europa One ship really reminds me of the production design on the ship Antares in Defying Gravity (2009)

Excellent trailer. Between this, Gravity, and Elysium, I'm really excited about this year's science-fiction films.

Three somewhat serious-minded SF films in the same year, and I swear to you I'm going to actually see them in the theater. That hasn't happened since, what, 1982?

2009 wasn't so bad. Moon, District 9, Splice, and a couple of decent blockbusters which I know you hate.

Trailer looks fantastic, but I feel like we've been down this road before, on Apollo 18. Hope I'm wrong, since I'd like to see this sort of sci-fi flick, with it's ultra-realistic spin on things, take off (ha ha).

These are guesses, but I'm putting them in spoiler tags, so *warning*:

Given the documentary/video cam style, and given that the title has been changed to add the word Report, this suggests that maybe everyone died/got abducted/got stranded, and that the film is the report about the ill-fated expedition.

Much of that trailer looks like a blatant rip off of 2010 crossed with the Blair Witch Project as others have said. Is there a meaningful subtext or is it just another horror flick set in a space context?

The first minute and a half looks great. Then there's an awful lot of screaming. It's like they started out with 2001, realized it would never fly with the contemporary audience and turned it into Alien. We'll see....
