I always thought it was pretty funny that the Rottweiler who played mirror-Porthos was even more of a 'big baby' than the beagle who was the regular universe version...

Speaking of beagles, I just proved Simon Pegg in Shaun of the Dead right.

Dogs can look up! Take that, doubters!

Hopefully this isn't to destroy peoples screens, having some issues with imgur.

Anyway, beagles! Here's my uncles pretty girl Bino with our sadly late American cocker spaniel Keiran: http://i.imgur.com/6Bpu2.jpg (link since it's huge)

    One more of Keiran:

Keiran and Zilwer, our fussball that's still alive and well:

Zilwer tired in the summer heat:

And this little fella we only had for a few months when we tried to have three dogs. Proved a bit much in the end so he moved to the veterinarian. As in the vet herself bought him and he's living the good life. Meet Jum-Jum:

And yes, he still has those bright eyes.

And this is how my one of my uncles other dogs Gaston looked like about a year ago when he'd been hit by a car. Things where touch and go for a while but he's now fully recovered with a fully functional metal hip:

And now, some of our cats, Shira (the darker one) and Sweet (the blonde one):

He's a real trooper. What happened is that he and his "sister" Grymta, a siberian wolfhound (think that's the name, think "Laika") had escaped the house at some point. Someone probably missed closing a door. and thye ran out into the dark winter night, seeking adventure and food...and happened upon the dark busy road nearby.

What happened was that someone was driving along and noticed Grymta sitting at the side of the road, barking at the cars. This person stopped and got out, at which point Grymta got scared and ran home. They looked down into the ditch and there was Gaston all beat up and bleeding. His colors made him almost invisible until you where standing next to him. Had they not found him he'd most likely been buried when the snowplow would've been along. Luckily someone did, alerted the police and once they got there the immediately lifted him into the car and drove at highest speed to the nearest animal hospital.

It was really close for the first few days and operations. He had a very low survival chance. But he pushed on trough. And now he's the big old happy oaf that he used to be. I call him "Brontosaurus" because he's so big and gangly :D

And yeah, I loved each and every one of our Cockers. Such sweet dogs, but unfortunately so many health issue inherent with "purebred" dogs. I really do love our cats as well, they're so cuddly. And it's hilarious how the dog and the cats mimic each other. Especially when Zilwer tries to catch flies with his poor vision

Glad to hear of Gaston's good Samaritan! We've been owned by four purebred a bulldogs and agree that sometimes we people should have just left dogs to their own devices. We've lost all but three to their tinkered with designs, in spite of extensive and lengthy medical supervision/intervention.

Our last one is our LAST one. We've agreed to go pound puppy next time.

Yeah, we loved our Cockers but if we get another dog it's going to be a mixed one. And a female dog, we've had a few guys now and they are a bit taxing to deal with at times.
