It's time to finally watch this movie. The film doesn't open in the North American market until May 6 however it is having it's worldwide premier April 21 in Australia.

The embargo on reviews is to be lifted on Monday(4/18) so all the critics will have their voice heard. Use the following link to find out when THOR opens near you.

    THOR official site.

    THOR background at wikipedia.

THOR trailer at YouTube till I can figure out how to embed it. It's not Code, HTML or PHP how do you embed??

There's been about four reviews I've read and they're positive, so far. Then again, they're mainly from genre sites like IGN and Comic Book Resources.

    Just being prudent. :techman:
It does open this week with the world premiere and all. Being a global community a place now exists outside the lead up thread for those to discuss the film.

The toys for Thor have been out for a month now. I was surprised to see them so early at my local walmart. The foam hammer was nice touch.

Thor is one of the movies I'm looking the most foward to which include Fast Five and Pirates 4.

If you do that, make sure to do it at a midnight screening where fellow fanboys will also be attending. Any other time, you might get strange looks.:)

Dream thanks for embedding that trailer. I used your instructions and they worked in the 'preview message' but didn't upload once I hit submit.
Guess I'll have to keep playing with it.

I have bought the helmet and smaller foam hammer. Don't look for me to wear them to the movie though.

I'm looking forward to seeing the movie but after reading the leaked script a couple months ago I have to admit that I'm not looking forward to it as much as I was. Maybe the first time where this has occurred to me.

You know, not being the biggest Marvel fan in the world, I really wasn't paying notice (or caring) about this. But after seeing a few trailer, I might have to go check it out.

It would cost you a groaning to take off mine edge.

    Or something. :p

Yeah, for some reason, if you preview a post with an embedded YouTube video, the video disappears.

Indeed. Australia is the only country where it opens this week, and lots of European countries next week, and a limited release in USA also.

I did have plans to see it on Thursday, but will have to wait a few weeks until seeing it. It sucks being broke. I'm hearing lots of positive reviews on facebook from the people who saw it last night.

A few more reviews all positive, more random and not the 'big ones' but they are good.
RottenTomatoes: 86% Fresh as of now.

From DIY.Co.UK they give it an 8/10.
From DenofGeek.com comes there review and 4/5 stars. RT contributor also.
From HeyUGuys.Co.UK is there score of 3/5 stars
From Variety, no score but praise. The cries of 'plastic armor' by the 'net are shot down in his description here.

And in fairness the One Negative review to date.
    http://www.thefilmpie.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=2051:thor&catid=36:reviews C+
The entire film is a risk. A film blending superheroes with magic/sorcery/aliens this guy misspoke or just doesn't get risk. He does admit bias to comic films by now so maybe that's why he doesn't see the risk this film is. All in all his C+ is hardly all that negative but that is how he is submitting it to RottenTomatoes apparently.

His review did give confirmation to a post credit sequence though.

Empire's reviewer is too cute by half, and protests too much - and at too great length - on the subject of cheese.
