^ I saw a similar design somewhere else a while back. They always make me think they're a quick way of bypassing the need to have the first couple of Martinis to make the stems look like that. :D

    Quite fun.

They're an investment, but they will pay themselves back quite quickly. ;)

Same here. Ordered that, and a couple of Star Trek trade paperback comic collections I didn't have from Amazon yesterday morning.

Spoiled myself and bought several things, including these earrings. Quirky but I thought they were adorable.

I bought a handful of Martinis and large amounts of unpronounceable but tasty Thai food.

I paid attention to Dorothy Parker's famous dictum and stopped after the second Martini myself though. :D

Two Mets T-shirts. One is black with the Mets logo in blue; the other is blue, with 'WE LIKE IKE' on it.

I had a nostalgic moment for the early 90's when I used to own a bomber jacket and ended up being tempted by this Alpha Industries Engine number which happened to be 50% off:

Having had a quick look online, now I wish I'd also seen the NASA jacket they do, that would have been totally badass. :D

I received my two dolls from Oxfam today

I love them both. Unfortunately there is a problem - the larger doll was meant to come with a little baby that the mother could carry in her sling but the baby was missing from the order. I have sent a nice email telling Oxfam about the missing baby. I am hoping they can just post a baby to me rather than me having to send the doll back. this would be cheaper for them to do rather than having to postage for the return of the mother doll.

I have placed them on a bookshelf in my loungeroom because I want them to be on display. I do have two smaller Oxfam doll but they aren't as nice as these two.

These two were made in Nairobi.

It is that obvious in the photo but both dolls have cute little earrings.

We guys are terrible, aren't we?

I'm running 9d monitors at work. (triple 3d monitors)
(Dual Intel I7 Extreme, 8gb ram, GTX570 SLI, Intel SDD Raid 0, 4TB Storage:drool:) but my standard machine is this godawful celeron based diagnostic tablet. (with a few mods here and there:techman:)

Last purchase was a el-cheapo katana off ebay i'm gonna grind down to use as a training sword. unfortunately the wooden training swords you can get around here are dreadfully fragile. i've managed to send four of them to katana heaven in six months. alright, three. one doesn't count since it was never designed for a volvo truck to run over it...

I bought myself a Barbour tailored waistcoat, to wear under my winter jackets when it gets really really cold. I love the quality of their clothes.

Cheap pair of espadrilles for the beach (off on holiday for a few weeks from next week), picked up my new dinner jacket from the tailor, and commissioned a pair of trousers in a nice light/mid-grey flannel while I was there.
