I watched the Bourne Legacy for the first time tonight and really enjoyed the movie a whole. One thing really did bother me though, why is it that government handlers are always caught off guard when their super soldier/operative defeats the hit team sent to kill them. Am I the only one this annoys? I mean isn't the whole point of the billions the government spent developing these agents is to serve as force multipliers in less then perfect world?
There used to be a thing called "suspension of disbelief". It's practically a requirement for action films. I'd suggest employing it. You'll be happier.
You're not the only one. One of these days i'd love to see a super soldier movie where he goes off the reservation and when security wants to go after him the boss says, "You dumbass! You're gonna get your ass kicked! That was the point!"
