A list of the actors screen-testing to play Captain America has leaked. The list contains a few familiar faces and some unknowns, but the biggest surprise is John Krasinski. There is a distinct progression in fan attention when a new superhero movie comes out. First it’s the writer and director, then the casting of the main lead, the casting of the villain, and, eventually, somewhere down the line, we get a look at the costume. Normally, we wouldn’t get too excited until some pictorial evidence was offered for the internet to excrete masonry over, but JoBlo’s incredibly detailed description of “one of the approved costume tests” for the new Captain America movie has got us interested.
Amazing how much free PR the studios can get out of us nerds without even showing us any official (or even leaked) pics...
Don't think they haven't thought about that! Of course it's a crapshoot because people can turn against a film just as easily, and over minor details. In this case, at least the costume looks like they're not going to go "Smallville Black-S" with Captain America. I like the army helmet, which is more likely what someone in WWII would have worn rather than the cowl seen in the comics. Alex
