Ships Of The Starfleet Museum

With these excellent models I would like to see them replace some Enterprise CGI scenes. You wouldn't notice the difference I guess.

 

Finally finished. Now I can either rest for the rest of the month or move on to something else.

 

UPDATE...
I unwrapped and textured the things coming off the back of the ship. Now I just need to do the front. Rendered in mental ray.

 

I remember making models of these with Bryce 6 several years ago when I first tried to get into 3D modelling but your's are far superior! Keep it up!

These are awesome. I've loved Masao's designs ever since I first stumbled upon them a while ago, I like them a hell of a lot more than the ship designs shown in Enterprise.

UPDATE...
More textures done. It’s not perfect at the moment and needs a few more tweeks.

Started to do an early block in of the Klingon D2.

UPDATE...
Started on the final bit of textures. Still have to add all the panels and grime. I decided to make the rings around the missile tubes a slightly darker green just to give it a little more variation. I Still have a few things to tweek on the other textures and I need to do the missile tubes but I should be done soon.

Still have a bit of tweeking but it is mostly done so I can start on the missile launchers.

UPDATE...
Well I think I’m done with this ship. I fixed some stuff I didn’t like about the gray center part and even added a small bump map to it. I also finished the missile launchers and I am very happy with how they turned out.

I’m not happy with this picture but I’m not gonna sit for nearly 3 hours for it to render again.

Pretty neat spaceship. i'm designing something similar as well for my project.

 

UPDATE...
Well here we go again. Started to block in the shapes for the Klingon D2. I’m not too happy with the forward section because it looks a little lumpy to me but I think I can fix that.

 

I think the colour might be a reason that it looks a little lumpy, coming along nicely though.
