I don't know if anyone here heard about this, but apparently Syfy has picked up the rights to the web series Riese: The Series. I hadn't heard of this before I saw the story on SYFY WIRE, but based on the trailers it looks pretty cool. Plus the second season had Ryan Robbins (Sanctuary's Henry) Alessandro Juliani (BSG's Gaeta), Emily Ullerup (Santuary's Ashley), and Alison Mack (Smallville's Cloe) so it can't be all bad. Sadly the webisodes have been removed from all of the websites, but they are supposed to pop up on Syfy.com later this year.
Apparently they're planning on possibly turning into an actual TV like they did for Sanctuary.

Here's the official site for anyone interested.

The trailer for Ep 2 doesn't look super intriguing, but I'm attributing that more to the editing than content. There's stuff in there that I definitely want to check out. Allison Mack playing a very non-Chloe-ish role is high among them. :)

They should cast Alison Mack as the star of the series. She definitely needs her own series someday...

I'm not that interested in a bunch of nobodies from an online series, tho.

Yeah, but if you check the cast out most of them have actually been in some fairly high profile stuff.

I don't care whether actors are famous or nobodies, as long as they fit their parts and can act.

As much as I love seeing well known actors in stuff, you do have a pretty good point there.
Think of it this way, all of the well known actors started out as nobodies.

Every actor has to start somewhere...

Same here. She's the main reason I want to see this.

The first two episodes are interesting. It's hard to get into the show when each episode is only 10 minutes. But I found myself thinking, this could be an interesting TV series. So hopefully they move in that direction.
