    "Blood Oath" (season 2)

    and

"The Sword of Kahless" (season 4)

Back to back. Plan to watch "Once More Unto the Breach" from season 7. I'm in a Kor frame of mind.

    -------------

I couldn't help thinking that they rushed too fast to have Kor (John Colicos) say "Glorious" in "The Sword of Kahless." Instead of spreading his hands as if he was opening the wormhole and saying just "Glorious" at the beginning of his, Dax's, and Worf's quest, they could have had him say the exact same line he said in "Errand of Mercy" at the end of the episode, when they decided to beam the Sword of Kahless (really a Bat'leth) into space rather than have it sow discord on Kronos. That was the perfect moment for Kor to have said, "It would have been glorious."

Also, as I am part of the "transporter kills you every time you use it and a duplicate walks away at point B" crowd, I also think that beaming a true nonesuch also destroys what it was, originally--ie, the Mona Lisa put in a transporter is not the Mona Lisa on the other side. So as far as I'm concerned, they destroyed the Sword of Kahless. But I love this ep, anyway.

My favorite moment is when Reger leads the landing party across town to a safe house, as Landru summons the Body.

I watched the ENT two-parter 'Babel One/United.' There are actually one or two more parts, but I wanted to watch these episodes in particular.

    The Good:
    *Lt. Talas.
    *Lt. Talas in leather.
*Travis gets a bit more screen time and factors into the plot.
    *Tellerites and Andorians!

    The Bad:
*Archer is a bit arrogant and comes off a bit of a jerk like Shran and the Tellerite Ambassador. You can chalk it up to a man venturing out into space and dealing with issues that can be a bit much for one person to handle - kinda like what we saw with Kirk - but, the writers don't do that here.

*Not as strong as Demons/Terra Prime. This is one of the episodes where the lack of strong writing on ENT showed.

*How did Tucker and Reed fill up the air in their suits with a tank that looked very similar to an air tank from Earth? They were on an alien vessel, therefore if they came across any air that they could have used...it wouldn't have been that easy to get said air.

    *Lt. Talas died....

    The Ugly:
*Shran still uses 'pinkskins' for humans who come in all shades and backgrounds.

    The Intriguing:
*Andorian women are allowed a conquest before their wedding? And, Andorian women are more aggressive than 'human' women?

    The Weird:
*T'Pol (or Joelene Blalock, rather) reminds me of a girl I know. Albeit a bit taller, biracial (black/white)...and got on my nerves because she had a lot to learn. So much I had to delete her from my Facebook after I added her, then deleted her from Linkedin....after I added her. lol

TOS: Arena, and the beginning of The Empath, which I will finish later tonight.

For Arena, Kirk should have listened to Spock. He was right about everything in this episode, but Kirk was too pissed off to see that.

One of the earliest comedies, and works well on that level.

Definitely one of the all-time great time travel episodes in the history of the Trek franchise. It's always entertaining to watch.

Poor Bailey .. I wonder if Kirk ever remembered to go back for him later. Then again, Kirk "forgot" about Khan and his people on Ceti-Alpha Five, so probably not.

^ Bailey probably killed Balok after a week of listening to that laugh.
