Den of Geek yesterday did a writeup on Star Cops.
Star Cops: the BBC’s forgotten greatest science fiction show?

For one not yet mentioned, I remember Tek War being pretty good, but I don't know if any of it is on video...

The series has been on DVD for two years, and in Canada, even longer. They just came out with their second release. The movies aren't though. I had to make DVD-R's out of mine.

Suit yourself. I only mention animated stuff because it's the last place people look for a good sci-fi show, and thus the most "missed" but in fact you can find a lot of interesting ones in the animated medium.

And don't forget the follow-up: Jason of Star Command!

I'd love to see these re-booted for a new generation of Saturday morning viewers.

Second, third and fourthed on Angel, even if you didn't like Buffy.
I haven't seen anyone mention Fringe - maybe because it's still on the air - but I'd highly recommend it. Once you get past the so-so first season, it really ends up being a great show to this point.

Filmation's ARK II, SPACE ACADEMY and it's sequel JASON OF STAR COMMAND(first season had James Doohan) were good Saturday morning viewing and could be re-booted.;)

"Saturday Morning" is for all intents and purposes dead.

Sadly true, but back in the '70s and '80s it was alive and well for children.;)

The only place that a remake of SA, JoSC or ArkII might show up would be Sci-Fi, and I'd bet it would be a cheap looking, low rent show like some of the throwaway half-hour shows from the early-mid 90s like Superforce.

I actually prefer Gerry Anderson's UFO over Space: 1999.

    I'd also recommend Day Break.

Ark II. Ideal for the times and doable in an adult format.
    It's got my vote.
