Apparently aligning all those passes can be tricky. Look at this shot from "The Wounded"

Did this happen to CBS in other seasons? They said they had a way of tracking all this stuff so it lined up.

It was CG in the other releases by CBS-D

I can't see anything wrong with these screencaps. I see motion blur, but beyond that nothing that bothers me.

The CGI version of this shot is used in Season 4 when the Enterprise is towing the garbage scow in Final Mission and when dropping out of warp in Data's Day.

Not at all, the version CBS D use in Seasons 1 & 3 is flawless. The bussard and deflector glows are spot on, also the deflector glow mutes the deflector dish colour, that really is such a great alteration.

Having marathon watched Season 4 its safe to say that some of the MV composite shots of the 6 foot model look noticeably weaker than CBS D's. Begs the question once more, why are they throwing time and resources into re assembling already completed stock shots? couldn't CBS just include them when they do the conform for each episode and save MV a job?

No it wasn't. We've seen this 6 footer flyby countless of times done right by CBS D and HTV.

Look at the windows. The lights of the windows are misaligned.

^That's kind of an understatement. The lights look like they're floating in front of the Enterprise!

Dagnabit, my local Best Buy was sold out of season 4 by the time I got there after work. Looks like I'll be Amazon-ing it. Oh well, at least I save $10 this way!

My copy of season 4 came this afternoon from Amazon. :)

One question: where in the episode were the 2 seconds of SD footage in "The Drumhead" that had to be converted to HD?

It's a shot of the damaged warp core. So probably in the first five minutes.

Got my copy when I got home. Decided to go with Amazon this time and skip the special disc. Might just do the special features and then don't start the season until a couple weeks from now (Traveling next week). Still have to finish House of Cards too.

Watched Family and noticed a wound healing on Picard's forehead. Never saw that before. So far in disc 1 im very pleased with this set.

Disc 1 has promos for Season 5, Season 3, BOBW and Enterprise Season 1, one after another. That's overkill, CBS.

I'd rather see season 4 promo instead of 3 at least.

A season 4 promo while you're watching season 4 defeats the purpose. ;)

But it wasn't included on the Season 3 set.

So basically we have the season 3 promo like 3 times when all is said and done. They had it on Season 2, the Best of Both Worlds, and now on this set. That is overkill.

Oddly it's missing the Redemption trailer. Perhaps the Redemption disc has the S4 trailer.

Yes the S4 trailer on Redemption. The disc opens with a trailer for pretty much every current CBS Blu-ray Trek project. It has S4, BOBW, S3, and ENT S1.
