What were they thinking? The Maqui and Federation conflict all but dying outside of the pilot episode. Why did the writers even bother with this addition to the show? It's been 7 years and Chakotay refers to the VOY crew to Janeway as "your crew". I'm on my first watch through VOY and I can't believe what i just watched.

It's a Kenneth Biller story, what did you expect?

Voyager suffered greatly from it's "One crew, Starfleet crew, and we've successfully integrated in with a bunch of terrorists in one episode!" From my memory, they only really brought up the Maquis-Starfleet conflict in 'Learning Curve.'

Yeah this episode was totally random. Just watched it the other night.

Even at the end, Chakotay and Janeway were like, yeahhh, lets just act like this never happened....then why did you make the episode???

Not the best episode from Season 7, that's for sure.
