I saw this earlier this evening while I was out at the local mall but wasn't able to pick it up (the bookstore was closing and they had already shut down the registers). I may go back and pick it up tomorrow.

^ It was in a small Mom and Pop bookstore called The Book Nook. I've never seen one in any mall but this one (which is why I'm assuming it is a Mom & Pop store).

Most likely it is. I think I have heard of a store like that. I highly doubt it would be a chain since its a mom and pop store through. Probably someone that had the same name idea for their store.

I haven't been able to find it in any stores yet.

And now Amazon is saying it doesn't ship for 1 to 4 months!

I ordered it last week on amazon and it is saying I will receive it by november 26th though.

I pre-ordered through Amazon last week and they said I would get it by next week, or at least before the month is over.

You people act like you've never bought anything from Amazon before. It says weird stuff between when a book's on preorder and when it actually ships. Always has, always will. Hold on to your hats; the book will come to you and not in March 2009. Sheesh.

Well I haven't ever preordered anything from them before.
And I haven't anticipated a book this much in a long time.
Bad combination when it comes to my patience.

Lost Girls should be available in the UK now. The copyright on Wendy Darling has finally expired there.

I preordered mine back on Oct 6th and it still has not been shipped. I have received everything else that I ordered at that time. It still says that expected delivery date is Dec 1st.

Alan Moore's graphic novel Lost Girls stars Peter Pan's Wendy Darling, The Wizard of Oz's Dorothy, and Alice in Wonderland's Alice, and it delves into the sexuality of all three characters. In some areas, the book is unable to be sold due to child pornography concerns. In Britain, Wendy Darling's copyright was held by Great Ormand Street Hospital, and they held up publication of the book there until the beginning of 2008 when Wendy finally became public domain in the UK.
