Eh...BC speculated that one of the things that was discussed at the Marvel retreat last week was an Avengers/Ultimates Crossover. It's very possible story wise thanks to "Spider-Men" and we know we're getting "Spider-Men 2" so I wouldn't totally discount this as a possibility.

I also don't think this is a Marvel Now Omnibus, because that was already announced a few months ago. I don't think it's "Season One" related either.

personally, i don't see the point of a Ultimate/616 merger. i think Bleeding Cool suggested the return of Marvelman. the dispute over Marvelman was settled last year so this seems like a good possibility to me.

Yep. Marvelman is a possibility. We've been waiting for a while for it too.

If Strange couldn't heal Aunt May's bullet wounds in OMD, I doubt he could heal a broken neck. Strange has got to be the lamest magical hero, atleast from a healing magic perspective. I do like him as a character, but his powers really are no match for even most average DC maigc users. Especially not guys like Dr. Fate, who has healed people worse off then May atleast once, and probably more than once. I don't think Strange could fix a blister. He's a decent offensive sorceror in Marvel's main universe, but he'd easily lose in a dC/Marvel magic user battle against DC's big guns.

This latest deadpool series has been pretty good, I hope the next story arc is as good as this one. Its not as good as Deadpool's first ongoing, or Cable & Deadpool, but its better than most of his last run, which was mostly ok but never really reached greatness, or really anything more than decent.

Could the #1 teaser be a purely digital initiative that reboots things kind of like the Ultimate universe once did, but only digital, in many languages, and never for print?

Anyone pick up "Guardians of the Galaxy 0.1"? I was originally not going to follow this when it was first announced, but this surprised me quite a bit. It looks like Bendis has something big planned in terms of Marvel Cosmic. Steve McNiven's art was great as well.

I never knew anything about Starlord as a character, so it was interesting to see his origin. I gotta say Bendis is very smart to include Iron Man on the team, because without that I'm not sure how much I'd care about the series.

I almost got GotG, I flipped through it and decided to trade wait. I will say a waffled about it cause the art looked really good.
For those who read it did it feel like a solid story in one issue or did it suffer decompression out of the gate? Cause despite making cut backs in my reading I might justify it now cause Punisher War Zone ended with #5.

Which speaking of I was quite thrilled with how Rucka's saga wrapped up! Only disappointed that it may be awhile before the main hanging thread is revisited. But I do fear a sub par writer might ruin or run with that last panel in an unsatisfactory way.

I appreciated the big DnA cosmic run but it didn't light my world on fire. The crossovers were alright but the Nova and GtG series were just so so I felt.

    Guardians didn't have any decompression.

    Starlord told his origin story.

    Beginning to end.

^ Yep. What Guy said...it was basically a prologue to the main story in the book starting next month. He's telling his origin story to Tony and the others.

    Shit.

I have been avoiding the guardians thread for months now.

but wikipedia just told me who is playing Starlord in the movie.

    Damn you wikipedia!

I just wanted to know is he had powers he hadn't ever used in any comic I had ever read about him.

    Seems not.

I have never read anything featuring the Guardians of the Galaxy before, but I picked up the 0.1 and dug it. I think I'm in on this series.

Re: Marvel Now/ReEvolution Ongoing Discussion (Spoilers)

    The 90s Guardians was great.

There's this contest between the Guardians and a warlord super villain at the height of the 31st century to see who will get possession of the most powerful weapon in the universe... And when the Warlord finally wins because he has Superman-like Powers, and the Guardians rely on luck 90 percent of the time, he picks up Captain America's shield and says "Are there buttons? How do I make this thing work? Blast them! Blast them... The stupid thing is broken!"
