^ Brooker has already had a major hand in numerous very well thought of comedies though, Brass Eye and Nathan Barley he wrote for, and the absolutely brilliant Dead Set was all his creation. He's pretty well established as a creative now.

 

Charlie Brooker's 2011 wipe is on BBC 4 Friday 30th dec 10.30pm.

So who watched 2011 Wipe? Really made me laugh, Charlie at his surly best.

Screenwipes was the small sparkling gem that was sticking out of the top of the steaming pile of poo that has been xmas TV this year.

 

Glad I'm not the only one who thought Christmas TV was shit this year.

 

Channel 4 have given Black Mirror a second series.

It's Charlie Brooker's take on a cop show. So a parody of a cop show I guess.

 

The humour appears very similar to Police Squad/The Naked Gun, but it just seems off somehow.

 

Well it's entirely lacking of context. Though I admit it made me laugh when the chase was going on.

 

Really obvious stuff, looked like it should have been made 20 years ago and starred Nicholas Lyndhurst...

But, good news BM is getting a second series. I hope it's a little more consistent and, dare I say it, a little more hopeful, just sometimes...
