I'm sure this may have been covered elsewhere, but what are some of the inspiritive sources for the Klingons in this film? :)

    Star Trek VI look.

Kharn is a combination of Kang, Katsumoto from "The Last Samurai" and Yamamoto, the Japanese Admiral.

one of the pieces of design I really like is the solid feeling of the pylons holding the nacelles. The design feels very sturdy.

They really knew how to build em in those days. :)

Just wanted to pop in and say: Axanar is looking more badass by the day. I've been impressed by the quality of fan films in recent years, but I don't recall being really excited to see one to this extent. I've always wanted to see more of Garth of Izar and the cast you've put together is jaw-dropping, really looking forward to it.

From what I've seen, this looks promising. I'm looking forward to it.

I saw in an article that Gary Graham will be back as Soval. It'll be nice to see everyone's favorite bitter old Vulcan again. As fun as it is to cast real Trek actors in fan productions, I think it's even better when you actually get them back playing the roles they played in the shows/movies (i.e. Michael Forest as Apollo or Alan Ruck as Harriman).

If Memory Alpha is correct, he'd be somewhere in the neighborhood of 215-220 years old by 2245. At first I thought it might be a stretch that he's still working at that age, but we've had some US Senators and Supreme Court Justices working well into their eighties (or even longer), so maybe it's not so outrageous. I just hope his look reflects his age.

Forgive me if these questions have already been answered, but I don't have the will to sift through fourteen pages, I was curious about a few things:

-What class of ship is the Ares? The crew compliment? Will there be a dedication plaque?

-Will there be any connection to the species we encountered in "Fight or Flight"?

-Is the Chief Engineer really named Alexei Leonov?

-Will the Andorians look more like "Enterprise" Andorians, or "TOS" Andorians?

Ares Class. Don't know yet. Yes

    No.

    Yes

Enterprise Andorians as we have the make up artist who did those make ups.

    Thanks for the responses.

I also notice that Capt. Richard Robau (misspelled "Rabau" on the website, BTW) is in this production. I don't suppose you got Faran Tahir to reprise his role as well, did you?

Will you be using stardates in this production or Earth calendar dates like "Enterprise" and the 2233 scene of Abrams-Trek did?

Thanks, corrected the spelling. We are working on Faran. Now that the rest of our cast is complete he is the only remaining star we are after. We will get him.

    Stardates.

That would be super awesome. I didn't get enough of the Kelvin and its crew, although I recall you saying that the Kelvin won't actually appear.
