Hi I was just wondering what peoples favorite star trek ship was. My favorite is the enterprise refit and the uss defiant but what are some of your favorites?
I'm partial towards the Borg Cube. It's great to have villains so arrogant that they don't even bother to give their starship a shape, other than one of brutal efficiency. Plus, here for a rare once we have a Trek ship that can fire all sorts of weapons from any arbitrary location yet never be inconsistent with previously established facts about the weapons and their firing points... 1. Constitution Refit [1701/1701-A] 2. Constitution Class original series [TOS/TAS] 3. J.J. Abrams 1701
The Enterprise-E, the USS Defiant (Defiant Class), and the Enterprise-B variant of the Excelsior Class
The original Enterprise, Constitution class. All other Starfleet designs are based off it and none of them have the same longevity.
I think the Refit Enterprise was a work of art. If it was a beautiful lady, fully grown, TOS Enterpise was that same lady before puberty.
Hard to say, plenty of nice-looking Ships: Akira, Sovereign, Galaxy, Nova, D'deridex, Scimitar, Valdore, Klingon Raptor, Vor'cha,...
1701-B. I've always thought she looked particularly nautical. The "tumblehome" on her secondary hull puts me in mind of the hull form of French frigates from the 1770s and 1780s.
Enterpise D. I know it's based on the original, but it looks so much better and actually looks like it would survive in space, unlike the original which I think looks so small and fragile in comparison. Klingon Bird-of-Prey, the later one, Romulan War Bird and The Borg Cube. It looks so menacing.
I'd have to say the NX-class as it is the most visually appealing to me and has the most balanced proportions. The Constellation-class (Stargazer) also has a special place in my heart. My favorite non-canon ship is the Yorktown-class, which is basically a compact and better proportioned version of the Constitution-class.
I like the design of the Intrepid class (Voyager) and the interior of Galaxy class. At least on the 1701-D someone found the light switch. Yeah!
