Just curious what others think of her. I tend to be picky when it comes to music, but I might become a fan in time. I think she's got a good voice and it'll be interesting to see where her career goes.

I like Royals. It's a nice catchy pop song (although, ironically, it's also getting play in Alternative and Rock stations even though it really isn't rock). If other songs by Lorde are as good as that one, she'll have a promising future career.

I've listened to a few of her songs outside of Royals. While they aren't quite as catchy as Royals, they were decent songs. I like her and I think she has a promising future ahead of her.

Her album is pretty solid as a whole. She kind of freaks me out in interviews because she neither looks nor speaks like a 16 year old.

As far as pop music goes, the song's not half bad. The "I'll rule" part sounds like a choir of howling pups though. And in the one live performance I caught she had pretty odd/creepy mannerisms paired with pretty mediocre vocals.

Why is it only Lorde? Are her background singers interchangable? All the songs I heard wouldn't work without them.
