Well it's a pretty convincing wig... I still liked it.

Ok I just realized something… there was an episode in season 2 (I think) where Janeway had short hair then the next episode it went back to being long.

I had always wondered about that, now it makes perfect sense!

I heard that her real can be seen in "Workforce" and there were two epsiodes in the first or second season I don't know which there is also her real hair in a bun that Seven has later. I'm not quite sure which episodes... sorry.

Dont know if anyone else has asked this, but what do you mean by 'Wig before Pilot'? I thought her hair was the rather blonde/auburn French twist..? Not that awful hairstyle!

The first shots of the pilot that Kate was were with her hair as it was. It was short, and it was down. It was also a brownish-auburn color, kind of light, imho.

But, TPTB thought it wouldn't work, so they reshot everything they had so far shot for the pilot with her in the wig done up as the bun of steel.

Has anyone noticed that even in the broadcast pilot TPTB still seem to be struggling with Kate's hair colour and makeup, it seems to change at random parts of the pilot from ginger hair to brown hair

Wow, her eyes are really blue in that second picture.

I did notice that color change. I didn't realize it was during the same episode, though.

Kira had different hair in the same episode quite often.

Season 3 pony tail and when she had the really short cropped hair.

I didn't particularly like the Season 5-7 hair - too unnatural looking, but I guess it was very 1990's (Be'lanna's often looked the same).

I did think the power ponytail was cute. But, Season 5's hair had the right color, and, IMHO, that's what really makes it for me.

Always looked like pony tail look the best. How she ended the series (Season 5 on) was great too, but there was something very Janeway about the pony tail.

    I don't really care - I like them all.

I've always found Janeway to be super hot, her hair style's never changed that opinion.

Season 6 hair was the best one by far.

The braided style from Resolutions and the way it was styled in both Resistance and Remember.

    That's a lot of Rs.

The super-short Season 4 bob was my favorite, for some reason. Less red than Season 5, but still pretty cool. I consider the Season 4 bob to be its own hairstyle, seperate from the others. Not that I spend lots of time analyzing Janeway's hair or anything... oh, wait, that's a lie. :o

Next to the bun, I liked Season 6 the least. Looked like Janeway got into a fight with a bottle of Aqua Net and lost!

Season 4 is the second best hairstyle, for me. I agree with Season 6's do. I don't know why they put in all those hair extensions! It was just too much. It's like she suddenly started going to a Texan hairstylist who insisted that the jack-it-to-Jesus look was back 'in'.
