Spoiler: What shield is that orange one? I want it! Spoiler: They found a quarter. Spoiler: Romulan is a funny language. Spoiler: The dark side of Risa... Spoiler: Getting friendly with the dance coordinator. Spoiler: Sunrise is pretty when you have a spaceship in the bay. Spoiler: Who needs an off-duty outfit when your uniform is so groovy? Spoiler: Is falling damage fatal? [Turns out it's not.]
I have finally started my Romulan journey: Gilmore decided to take a break from behind his desk, and go to Risa for some much needed shore leave:
After a long day of "floating," dancing, hunting, and swimming, it's time to relax on the beach and watch the fireworks.
I can't yet afford any of the nice outfits on Risa, so I made a nice casual pair of corded khakis, a breezy sun shirt, and some brown loafers. It works until I can get enough favours for some sweet threads. Yes, I go places and do things, but I've found my favorite spot on the whole island.
I bought a floater. I enjoy flying around the map a great deal. It's funny because I can load up Champions Online and do that whenever i want but I find myself in STO doing it. lol
Spoiler: A view from the top of the world. Also, Risa is such a paradise you can't die. Fatal falling damage? Not so fatal here! Spoiler: I don't think those are Starfleet-regulation light fixtures. Spoiler: I think my admiral might be a bit of a lush. And that's after giving most of my whites to the fleet!
Risa's Caribbean feel inspired me to create a monkey Island STO cast in the foundry. Who can name everyone?
Did you know that you can use your floater to levitate above the lounge chairs? Captain Ferguson watches the Sunset before beaming up to his ship.
Actually you can die from falling on Risa, unless they've altered the physics of the island. Risa was my old fleet hq, so spent a lot of time there. :-0
Well, you at least can't die in the event zone. I went up to the top of the area, and dropped down to the lowest part, took fatal damage (enough to drop my hp to zero*), and just walked it off like it was nothing. *Unless STO is like DnD and you don't actually die until you get to -10 HP
