    Great design...
But boy all complains about bridges being to big... this is gigantic!!!!!
Must be the biggest bridge in the game now.

of they have been clever about it... by making th enter area the actual command area and teh rest is just a complete deck without walls.

Wanna bet, you can't see anything of the ships hull through te hwindows even though you should?

Probably not, though Tumerboy was mentioning something about his before, which was why he added the warp nacelles to that holodeck shuttlebay for the "Of Bajor" mission.

I see the series reward has been revealed too: http://www.startrekonline.com/node/2909

That reward does sound kind of cool.

Not sure why it's leveled down so far, though...

It isn't. The screenshot was just taken with a lvl 24. It scales with you. Brandon has confirmed that.

Yep. I've got most of the space set, but the polaron beam array only works on shuttles, so it's no of no use to me on my main ship.

And the stats make me want to throw up.
So why exactly do we need any other cruiser ( or any other ship for that matter?) now?
Just buy all three, get 3 überpowers with a Cooldown reduction instead of increase and a Set Bonus (!!!) to compensate for the lost console stat modifiers even though the flag ships already have one more console then any other ship.
And have you looked at the BortaS subspace snare ability? Nullyfies every skilled maneuvering and unleashes her ungodly weapons powers...

I am pretty sure that they will price the new ships for at least 2000 C-points. The new bridge does look very cool and some of the stats do look nice..but my personal shopping/wishlist for the C-store has quite a few items already(TNG uniforms, DS9 bundle, Excelsior-refit), so I will most likely buy one of the new ships rather on a later date.

I am not sure what to think about the FE end reward, I guess I must try it first in action to make my mind about it.
Since the last FE mission of the "2800" will be set at least partly on the hull of DS9, I wonder if we can keep the spacesuit after the mission, that would be really cool but might not happen, though.

Your complaint is based on the false notion that all or even most players are min/maxers. They aren't

True, and I am not one of them.
But when you reach VA and sit down to think which ship would be the best choice for my intended role, it will always be the Odyssey/BortaS from now on. Except the min/maxers, for them it's all 3.
All the other ships don't matter anymore except for sentimental reasons.
The starcruiser has already been made obsolete by the baseline version and now the sovereign bites it as a ship of the line and it was already barely keeping up with the c-store ships which also look like a joke now.

The Sovereign was pretty much replaced by the much older Excelsior-class in-game. If there's a ship to replace older Excelsior and Galaxy-class cruisers, I'd rather it be a current 2409 vessel. Especially one that was said to be the "flagship" and "pinnacle" of starship design. However, we'll see what the final stats are after it goes to test next week.

I could still take one of those out with my Excelsior. These ships are powerful, but it's all about tactics, and in terms of PvE, uberweapons won't mean jack when the STF Borg tear through them.

LOL, I had to look up "P2W". (It means Pay-2-Win for anyone as naive as me.)

Yep, what happened to the promise that Cryptic made that C-store purchases would just be cosmetic and would not affect game play?

It sailed months ago, when they first started offering things like +1 ships and the Galaxy-X in the c-store. Not that you need any of this stuff really; while it's problematic to PvP, Cryptic doesn't, and has never really, cared about that aspect of their games. Hence why it's been left to rot for almost two years now.

Not really... the excelsior had a mildly different BO layout and better turnrate but weaker hull.
I prefer the slightly less powerful ensign and lt slot to the single LtC slot for versatility reasons because I need less BOs to change a single power.

Yes, a better player in a weaker ship is still better than a crappy player inan Übership, no contest.

But if you play the same scenario in the better ship your performance will noticably increase.

I can rebuild every cruiser layout with the Odyssey and I mean every single one from Miranda to Galor.
The only drawback is the slow turnrate, but this gets migitated by A saucer seperation which gives you a combat pet even and B the set bonus of the 3 consoles which has power management and skill benefits as well.

And it's not only cruisers that start to become obsolete... Who in their right mind would buy a Nebula class or a D'Kyr now if he values performance even a bit due to the science version having sensor analysis and equally strong shields. Only benefit of pure sci ships left a commander sci slot.

The only ships not affected much (yet) because gameplay is so different with them are escorts.
But DPS wise the tactical version of the Odyssey will give them a run for their money if commanded by a tactical captain.
And DPS is even higher for the BortaS.

BortaS must be hands down the best ship in the game now, since everything is so DPS oriented anyway.

STF Borg ripping through them? Don't think so. BortaS will rip through THEM and Odyssey will outtank everything and still do decent DPS.
I already outtank the Elite Borg in my Sovereign. With Odyssey it will be a breeze.
