Starts January 27th, and includes the now badly named Xmas Special... http://www.topgear.com/uk/photos/Top-Gear-TV-is-back-2013-01-03
Looks like some standard and welcome features, too. Big 'other continent' trip, train vs. car in Europe.. Not bad.
Tonight's the night! 8pm - which clashes with the second half of the new Psych double-bill, so I guess I'll be recording that...
Tonight, after what seems like a year, my roomate and I can both yell the most manly of phrases...."POWEEEEEEEERRRRRRRRRRR!!" Thank god it's back.
And we have a new record time on the power lap. Still not bad considering how bad the circuit was. Still quite good fun.
I've been souring on Top Gear for some time now, mostly because of Clarkson being such an asshole on and off the camera, but I have to admit, that Nile special was pretty fucking epic, I enjoyed it a lot.
They're apparently filming an episode in New Zealand where they've requested the closing off of a large beach north of Auckland. I spoke to someone I know who works on the series and apparently everyone's pissed the news got out...
I really enjoyed it. I think they've maybe pulled it back a little in the last couple of seasons, been a little less 'in your face' and 'smug'. It's made for a better show.

I greatly enjoyed the Nile special, it was a proper epic adventure and they didn't overdo the scripted wackiness. Not much else in this series has stood out for me, though. The US road trip was decent I guess?
Pretty much - nothing outstanding for me so far but the Nile special, though I really did enjoy the Damian Lewis lap. Solid but not thrilling.
