FACT: A Star Trek/Star Wars crossover was considered in the 80s and endorsed by George Lucas, but several key Star Wars actors couldn't do it due to schedule conflicts, so the whole thing had to be dropped. We got Trek V instead.

You didn't see the Enterprise in ROTS or the Millennium Falcon in First Contact?

FACT: The Enterprise D was going to be destroyed by a Ferengi freighter in Generations. Braga nixed it after a test audience found it too implausible.

FACT: Genevieve Bujold was actually playing Captain Janeway for the entire seven-year run of Voyager. She just does a really, really good Kate Mulgrew impression.

FACT: Andy Kaufman was slated to play the part of Xon if Star Trek: Phase II went to series.

FACT: Star Trek V was bad on purpose. It was actually an elaborate psychological test to measure the tolerance of Star Trek fans.

Star Wars was going to be Star Trek, but George Lucas couldn't get the rights . . . .

The tribbles were actually gerbils in costume.

Fact: Sean Kenney, who played the crippled Captain Christopher Pike in "The Menagerie," was actually the illegitimate son of Jeffrey Hunter, who played Captain Pike in "The Cage," and actress Tura Santana.

Fact: Genevieve Bujold's Star Trek: Voyager contract was so well negotiated by her agent that, even though she quit the series of her own accord, she was still contractually entitled to her full first year's salary. Kate Mulgrew secured the role of Captain Janeway in large measure by agreeing to help Paramount out of this costly debacle by agreeing to split her first season's salary with Bujold.

Fact: The USS Enterprise was initially supposed to generate gravity for the crew by having the saucer section constantly rotating. Preliminary model tests, however, revealed the effect on film to be entirely too silly.

If you could prove that, the Federation Temporal Integrity Commission would have to remove you from this century before you went public with it and put you through years of reeducation.
