No no no... US=#SixSeasonsAndAMovie UK= #Fourseriesthatareaslongasaseason...andaspecial I love how in the UK the people who make the shows own the shows, that makes sense. It's stupid in the USA that Community, Revenge had their bosses fired and that Futurama and Veronica Mars aren't owned by the ones who created the universes! That said, is 10-13 half an hour episodes too much to ask? Season 1 of Sports Night was almost all written by Aaron Sorkin and its wonderful.
That's the price they pay for getting the production company to pony up the cash. If a showrunner came up with their own funding source, then they'd get to own it.
Not all of it is to do with the single writer or small team or small casts, some of it is the way our channels schedule and some of it is budgets, some of it is production space and some of it is just tradition.
I laughed quite enough. Superb ending, nice callbacks. Especially that the last sentence was effectively Spoiler: last sentence 'have you tried turning it off and on again?'
Graham Linehan says it will be shown there but he doesn't know when, so do what you gotta, he knows you're good for it.
I rather enjoyed it, some good laughs in there. Yarr it be thar for t'takin ye yella-bellied landlubber.
