Not a big fan of this season's opening. It's a little FOXy, and that guy's narration sucks.

John looks so pensive because he's wondering whos Five he's in.

 

I've got to admit, from John's position, that would seem so weird, knowing what you do and what's going to happen, and then going to school and trying to be 'normal'.

I don't even know if it makes sense for him to be going to public school, except to add dramatic possibilities. Besides, he's going to be a great warrior, not a doctor. It's gonna happen, they can't stop it, we all know it.

It appears to be a transport gone bad. He looked like he wasn't injured when he first arrived then it appeared something went through his chest. It could have been he was injured in the future war I suppose.
