If you are in the South Georgia, South Alabama or North Florida area, we are looking to cast up to three new security guard characters, another medical officer, and another communications officer for PROJECT: POTEMKIN. Richard Thompson is remaining with the cast as Security Chief Darrell Frazier, as is Renda Carr as CMO Dr. Maura Drake, and Ashley Longacre as Lt. Commander Jamison.

Unfortunately, we've lost Abby Evans (married, moved to Mississippi), Leslie Lewis (moved to Atlanta), Matthew Trammel (moved to Atlanta) and Nic Wawruck (moved to England). So we're interested in finding additional cast members to create new and interesting characters for PROJECT: POTEMKIN. All four of these cast members were regulars and had major roles in various productions. (In other words, these are not extras or day player-type roles.)

If interested, please contact me directly at producer@projectpotemkin.com. Thanks!

    Not hardly.

S02-H "Just Once" is coming up in September. An old friend of Alec Grigory comes aboard the Potemkin to be ferried to her new command. Meanwhile, her previous command seems to be developing some sort of trouble...

S02-I "Red Sky at Night" is scheduled for October. A Starfleet cultural advisor returns to the Potemkin after a lengthy stay with a very alien species and promptly resigns his commission!

Several of you have asked over the past few days what we're up to in the coming six months, especially since I've announced a few projects. Well, here's a list of what we're doing:

    PROJECT POTEMKIN

    September 27th -- SHOOT: S04-C "All in a Day's Work"
    October -- SHOOT: S04-D "Inquiry"
November -- SHOOT: S04-1 "Callie" Beach Scenes, Ship Scenes
December -- SHOOT: S04-2 "The Monsters Are with us"
    SHOOT: S04-1 "Callie" Cabin Scenes
January 2015 -- SHOOT: S04-3 "Between Two Worlds"
February -- SHOOT: S04-E "The Archive"
March -- SHOOT: S04-F "The Chronicles of Lanclos"
    April -- SHOOT: S04-G "Nightmare"

NOTE: The production order is subject to change based on the availability of the locations, cast and crew.
    ___________
    STAR TREK -- ELOKOMIN

    January 17th - 18th 2015 -- SHOOT: PILOT

NOTE: Project: Potemkin's sets are being made available to the folks from another production during this weekend. We are not involved with their production except as location, so you'll have to direct any inquiries to Alex Everett.
    ___________

    ROANOKE PROJECT (Official Title TBD)

    February 8th or 22nd 2015

NOTE: This is a pilot production (much like BATTLECRUISER: KUPOK) featuring new cast members, primarily from the Atlanta area. The production will be shot on the Project: Potemkin sets.
    ___________
    KUPOK PROJECT (Official Title TBD)

    March 2015

An EXTREMELY short vignette featuring some of the Kupok crew. The production will be shot on the Project: Potemkin sets.
    ___________

    RELIANT PROJECT (Official Title TBD)

Week of April 22nd or thereabouts 2015

Starring Darren Hann, Joann Pelley, and other members of the Newfoundland-based STAR TREK: RELIANT. The script, written by Darren, features a 23rd century starship with different characters than those of Reliant (although portrayed by many of the same cast members). The production will be shot on the Project: Potemkin sets.
    ___________

That's pretty much the plan as I see it now. In two months, it might be quite different, but we'll roll with the punches as always.

Working on the final version of S03-A "Holding Pattern" this afternoon. The plan is to release it on or about November 15th. We will release it sooner if we can get 600 members in the group here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/projectpotemkin/ (that's 23 new members as of this moment). This is a most excellent production, and I believe everyone's going to cherish it as much as the cast and crew do.

Ensign T'Noshi (Christin Woods) finds herself in an unusual and dire predicament.

We have a LOT going on:

My wife has accepted a lucrative job offer for a position as a senior chemical engineer in Birmingham, Alabama. As reported elsewhere, we will be moving the production. However, we will shoot two more vignettes and part of another here in Albany before we move the bridge and ready room.

In December, we hope to shoot "Inquiry," and in January, we hope to shoot "Endings" and the bridge scenes for "Callie."

Upon completion of the January shoot, all sets will be struck and relocated to Birmingham at our earliest convenience.

At some point, the "beach house" scenes for "Callie" will be shot here in Albany, and that will conclude the filming for Project: Potemkin.

It's been a wonderful run, and a great series, and we would rather keep it going. But logistically, it's impractical to maintain a studio here in Albany and a production office in Birmingham. We're going to miss everyone, but we're also looking forward to this new opportunity in Birmingham.

To that end, we have begun pre-production on two new series, Starship Deimos and Starship Tristan, which will be filmed in the Birmingham/Hoover. Shooting will be scheduled 4X per year for each production. We also intend to continue our Battlecruiser Kupok series with annual releases, and we intend to release one additional film per year involving other starships (and casts and crews). Folks interested in a role in these productions (either cast or crew) should contact me privately at their earliest convenience.

Fans of Potemkin should be delighted in the coming year as we have 14 productions in the queue to complete before our series finale, many of which are among the best episodes we've produced. In addition, Tony Lunn is working on developing a Potemkin-centered audio drama to run concurrently with our third and fourth seasons, so Potemkin fans will have plenty of material to enjoy in the coming year and a half.

Lastly, Project: Potemkin will be at Farragut Fest, December 6th & 7th 2014!

    http://farragutfest.com

We will be hosting at table at the event, taking donations for our move to Birmingham, distributing DVDs, hosting a panel or two, and generally having a good time with other fans, spreading the word about Project: Potemkin. We will also be showing our entire second season in the film room, and as a special event, we will be releasing our next episode, "Unspoken" at the convention at a special screening!

We hope to see you there!

I've got to say I'm a bit sad to hear that Potemkin is coming to an end. I am curious about the new series' though! Why two different productions? And what kind of a premise would each series have?

Don't be sad! We've 14 more episodes in various stages of post and pre production. That's at least a year and a half more Potemkin!

As far as the two new series goes, this is what we're working on:

Starship Tristan -- It is 2299. Colonies on the outer reaches of Federation space need continued support. Vessels like the Starship Tristan provide defense, scientific and medical support, diplomacy, shipping and transport, search and rescue, from the extreme to the mundane. Tristan has been assigned to provide support to 43 colonies adjacent to a section of the Romulan Neutral Zone, the Orion Barrier Alliance and the Tholian Assembly.

Starship Deimos -- 2299 finds the United Federation of Planets on a precipice from which they may fall. Quadrant 9, Sector 72 is adjacent to a section of the Romulan Neutral Zone, colonies of the Orion Barrier Alliance, and seed worlds of the Tholian Asssembly. There are 43 Federation colonies in this region known as 'The Back Forty-ish.' The planets are basically agrarian, with a few scientific and medical outposts present. A tempting target for pirates, an easy 'back door' into the Federation for smugglers, and rich, tempting worlds for those wanting to expand their territory. Deimos has been assigned to the sector to protect the Federation border. The vigilance and dedication of its crew are the only thing between those colonies and those who would do them harm.

We're planning on 4 episodes of DEIMOS, 4 episodes of TRISTAN per year, along with 1 episode of ENDEAVOUR and 1 episode of BATTLECRUISER KUPOK per year.

All series are well into the pre-production stages, with story ideas in development. Neither series will be completely cast until after our move to Birmingham/Hoover is complete; we will keep you up to date on developments. We have two complete crews to cast, but I can tell you that we have cast Renda M Carr as Dr. Maura Drake, newly assigned to the Starship Deimos, and William C. Searcy as Dr. Skep Anderson, a long-time space veteran of the Starship Tristan. We have also cast Jack Zumwalt as the captain of the U.S.S. Endeavour, NCC-1895, as well as Captain Kesh of the Kupok. Also returning will be Christin Woods as Lieutenant T'Noshi, newly assigned as a science officer aboard the Tristan, Matthew Trammell, newly assigned as a medical officer (Dr. Mathias) aboard the Tristan. Leslie Lewis will be joining the cast of the Tristan in a role to be determined soon. We expect to be add local actors in the Birmingham area as well.

I didn't think so, but it's only a 5 second shot (150 frames), so Chris decided to mask it. We were both using Keylight in AfterEffects. I also think that Rick Foxx gets a better keying from using Final Cut Pro than Chris and I get in AE.

Was planning on checking it out in a week or so. I'm working on Dreadnought Dominion's premiere episode, "Haunted," right now. Rick Foxx is working on panel animations for Project: Potemkin's "The Chair" right now. Chris Cameron is working on a CGI model for an artifact discovered in Potemkin's "Frazier's Angels." But I made a note to myself to check it out, thanks. Might even put it to use soon!
