I am secure in myself and my personality.

Actually, I think this is simply of my slightly misusing the word "ego," in the same way the poster to whom I was responding misused it -- and the way a lot of people misuse it, to mean arrogance, or an exaggerated sense of self-worth, when really it is just a sense of self-worth, or self esteem. I agree with you entirely!

 

That's true, people do seem to use ego as a synonym for arrogance.
