If you make it a tortilla with the scrambled eggs, you have breakfast to go! And you can add onions and such. Your own breakfast burrito. Now I'm hungry.
In terms of spread, butter with strawberry jam. In terms of snack meals of '<item> on toast', baked beans. Closely followed by poached egg. Sometimes, I have both.
Nice bit of Scottish chedder, sliced up garlic clove, and a good splash of worcestershire sauce, then under the grill for a few min's to melt it. MMmMMmMmMmmMMmmmmMMmmM.
Oooh, another one I used to have a lot when I was still in Italy is the classic italian bruschetta: toasted bread, then you rub garlic on it, and you add a bit of olive oil and a pinch of salt. So simple and so delicious.
