I've read a draft of the screenplay, and if they're still going with the one I read, I can definitely buy that. I felt the tone of the script closely resembled Iron Man, with moments that also gave me a vibe reminiscent of Spider-Man and Donner's Superman. It was a solid script and should make for a fun movie. --g
Wow, they actually are going to go big with the space/scifi stuff just like the fans have been saying they should... ...And are actually going to make the movie to begin with.
So I take they will not try to emulate Watchmen by having Hal create a green ax to kill his enemies with? DANG IT!
Although I do hope they meld in some of Kyle Raynor's creativity with like making big mechas or when he's in need of cooling down some skimpily clad babe in a bikini fanning him... I vote for Smith Cho!
Woo hoo!!! It's Hal Jordan!!!!!!!!!! EDIT: I have nothing against John Stewart, far from it, but Hal had to be treated first IMO.
There are a lot more kinds than that. The good news is that it's apparently not going to be another somber comic movie. One or two of those a decade are enough.
This is GREAT news indeed! my only fear is they will say ''one'' thing and do another in order to save on the ''budget''.
I'll see it. I'll suffer through Hal Jordan if, for no other reason, then the sequel will give us either Guy and/or Kyle. Alan showing up would be nice too.
Jordan. He just doesn't have the stones to get the job done with out punking out into freaking rainbow. If there's one lantern that I truely want to see, it's Mogo.
Bah it it's not Alan Scott, it's not worth my time. I have never enjoyed the Green Lantern Corp concept, and I have always found Hal Jordan boring. People will hear Green Lantern and expect it to be John Stewart from the JL/JLU cartoons. Prepare for complaints of racism.
