And oh, Neelix is almost as useless as Riker.

    I do the same!

You know that thread about netflix shooting it self in the foot?

If you really must Mayack, Ethan shoots himself in the face in the Shadow, and in Meld Tuvok strangles a hologram of Neelix to death.

    He only has one lung!

HOW DOES THAT HEDGEHOG BREATHE WELL WITHOUT A MOUTH? There's no way he should have survived that run in with Q.

There is literally no character in all of Trek who is as nice and sweet a guy as Neelix. Granted, he can be quite annoying, but enough to kill him off? Puh-lease.

Did you wish death on the John Candy character in Planes, Trains and Automobiles as well?

    'S like kicking puppies...

If there was a Zombie chasing you, and your only way to defend yourself was to kick at puppy at her as hard as you could... Needs must as the devil drives.

Neellix has to be nice, otherwise they won't continue to let him keep sleeping with 2 year olds.

Neelix is the Jar-Jar Binks of Star Trek

a misguided attempt at comic relief that ended up so annoying you almost doubt that it could have been unintentional

Neelix was supposed to be a sweet character, but his relationship with Kes was unnecessary and creepy, and he was a tired joke most of the time. He had his moments though.

Neelix was designed to be hated.

Our intrepid hate of the charatcer was supposed to be enough, to metaphorically get every one up in a bell tower with a rifle picking off Talaxians.

The Producers created an emotional connection between us and Neelix that is vital and living, our desire to destroy him or watch his destruction.

No, the fact that the sweet grandfather character nailed Kes, and then was made the "morale officer" and was the "godfather" of Naomi, is what bothers me.

Naomi was a little old for him.

I think you are being a little hard on Neelix - at least he grew on me as the show went on - largely due to Ethan Phillips. Janeway and Tuvok remained as unlikeable throughout all 7 seasons as they were at the very start.

Tuvok was great when he got his moments, he should've been first officer instead of Chakotay.

Tuvok is so far beyond Neelix as a character that you might as well compare Garak to Leeta on DS9.

From Dabo girl, to a changelings mistress, to spy/terrorist, to wife and mother, to Emperiatrix of a fricking Empire?

DS9 underdeveloped is not Voyager underdeveloped.

Neelix was more awesome and far less annoying than Barclay or Pulaski.
At least Tuvok knew it was dangerous to give Neelix a weapon.
Who in Starfleet approved a nut job like Barclay and a bigot like Pulaski the right to carry a phaser? Seriously, would you actually trust your life with Reg Barclay?
At least Neelix had the ability to make friends, I don't think anybody on the Enterprise ever learned to like Barclay or Pulaski.

There's nothing wrong with Pulaski that couldn't be fixed with a shallow grave.

Barclay thought to be a successful vibrant and confident person was to be the Doctor, which is what he was so petrified and inconfident to evolve into. It's like Jesus turning into God through crucifixion, Barclay has hesitant about the exposure he'd need balls forward to properly apotheosize into some one as unstoppable as the doctor.

If so, then Barclay was right to be afraid of the monster he was utterly capable of becoming because that person would as surely destroy the universe as rule it.

Meanwhile people turned up for his one man show of Cyrano, and he played an instrument in public too... Reginald was gaining a following.

The truly sad thing about Pulaskik, is that after you've killed her, I don't think she'd be edible even as petfood.
