Opens in 12 hours as I type this. I have something on tomorrow morning so can't do the midnight screening but will try and see it tomorrow.
No midnight screenings in Newcastle. Can't be bothered to travel to Sydney tonight for some that are happening. Seeing it tomorrow morning, and then again sometime over the weekend.
No, I did the midnight screening last time and didn't enjoy it at all. The late hour plus IMAX plus lens flares and fast cuts plus work the next day equals a massive headache. I've booked gold class for tomorrow evening.
Friends are seeing the midnight screening at innercity Sydney IMAX but, since I've already seen it and live an hour's train ride away, it's not tempting me. A bit late for a school night. (I was at a midnight screening of "The Phantom Menace" - and really regretted that idea. Midnight "Cloverfield" was great, but I stayed with friends overnight.) I have regular 3D tickets for a local screening on Thursday evening and 3D tickets for Saturday at the IMAX.
seen it 2nite and well dont know what to make of it, Spoiler: BUT THAT DOESN'T MEAN YOU SHOULDN'T STILL REMEMBER TO TAG YOUR SPOILERS the whole kirk deeath was a total rip off of spock's death scene in wrath of khan.
if someone could take some photos in front or in the hall of the theater, (Australia, England, Germany) I would like to know how is the demand. It would be interesting to show other countries like mine (Brazil - Jun 14th) that many people are going to see the film.
I saw it locally in an outer Sydney suburb yesterday (small but responsive crowd) but will be at the IMAX in Sydney on Saturday night. The 2009 screenings were always "full house" like this: Star Trek 2009 by Therin of Andor, on Flickr Standing room only at the world premiere of STiD a few weeks ago: Star Trek Into Darkness by Therin of Andor, on Flickr
