Thanks to my communte I listen to a lot of podcasts: Nerdist, Alton Brown Podcast, Sklarbro Country, Adam Carolla Show, Stuff You Should Know, Fat Burning Man, Latest in Paleo, Word on Fire, UMD Newman. Sometimes I'll listen to the Nerdist Writers pannel depending on who's on it.
I have it down to about 8 active ones just now, maybe 10 episodes a week? Most podcasts are 30 minutes to 3 hours though, so there's a limit on what's possible.
I have 20 subscriptions. But, I'm behind on some. I have a son that I take for a walk in a stroller... prime podcast listening time.
Welcome to Nightvale (All hail the glow cloud) and Mark Kermode/Simon Mayo's film show on the BBC (Hello to Jason Isaacs)
That's true. There's just so much out there it's hard to limit yourself. Sometimes I want to cut back and sometimes I just want to listen to more. I think I just decided that anywhere between 10 and 15 is just enough. Also, a lot of the shows I listen to are once a week shows, or in the case of Filmspotting SVU, every other week.
The shows I like are Trek FM,Warp 5,Treknologic,This week in Trek,The Ready Room,Trek Mate Ten Forward, Matter Stream (Great interview with Richard Hatch last week). The Mark and Lyndia Pod cast, Cool Stories in Music, The Slam with Mark and Sam. Wait Wait dont tell me, Car Talk,A Prairir Home Companion. I listen while at work, and swing shift.
Three of the podcasts I listen to are on the Trek.fm network: Earl Grey (TNG), The Orb (DS9), and To the Journey (VOY). That network does have great hosts.
I listen to (whenever they have new episodes) The Atheist Experience The Godless Bitches The Non-Prophets The Infinite Monkey Cage The Skeptics' Guide to the Universe (though I am a little behind at the moment) I sometimes listen to Science Talk The Naked Scientists Trolling with Logic Stuff You Should Know Stuff You Missed in History Class Stuff to Blow Your Mind Stuff from the Future History Extra World Book Club
