Fontana and Derek Chester New Frontier #2 by Peter David and Stephen Thompson TNG: Intelligence Gathering #4 by Scott & David Tipton and David Messina
i vote for the IDW publications being added to the original post in up coming months since they are publications people look forward to.
This was in the last Diamond shipment. Mine arrived in Australia on Wednesday. Looks great, and includes the prelude from "Spotlight on Star Trek" special.
Does anyone know a good place where I can order the New Frontier comic online (to ensure I can get hold of the quad-cover issue)?
I've used both these online retailors: http://www.milehighcomics.com/ and http://www.mycomicshop.com/ You can arrange for a subscription to get the issues you want. You could also try to have a local comic shop hold one for you. It might be more convenient than you think. Find a shop near you: http://csls.diamondcomics.com/ And there is always the publisher directly, http://store.idwpublishing.com/ where you can place a pre-order now!
Since I don't, haven't and never will read comics, is the storyline for the IDW comics taking place after MIA or does it fill in the gaps between 2377-80? In other words, do I really need to read them before NF#17?
Okay, I'm confused. You just said you never will read comics, so what the hell do you care? Anyhow, I believe it will take place after MIA.
Any idea when in March the last two Slings and Arrows eBooks will be out? I'm holding off on reading it till I have them all.
According to Peter David's Newsarama interview, it's the next story after Missing in Action: As for why you should read the New Frontier comic: Any bets on who's going to die? My money's on Burgy or Selar.
Oh, I hope not Burgy! I've never been very sympathetic with the PAD characterization of Selar (which, to be fair, is kind of the point, I think), so it won't distress me too much if it's her. I'm kind of hoping for Moke, though - I never really warmed to that character.
I'll put my skank down on their son, Xyon, instead. He's the one with the death sentence hanging over his head, after all... Fictitiously yours, Trent Roman
Nah, that's too easy. I think it's either Burgy or Selar, too. I hope there will be some follow up on "Redemption" from No Limits.
I'd say Burgy myself, as far as I can remember, hir hasn't really had much of a role in the books lately, and I don't think hir demise would have too large of an impact on the plot of the series. Plus, IMO it could actually bring up some interesting character stuff for Selar, and Xy.
