^ Yep, L-Ron IIRC from Smith's script lol. I would love to see the Skull ship in all seriousness. Done properly and designed faithfully I think it would be fantastic to see on screen.

I just thought of this, but could Smith have been making a passive aggressive comment about L. Ron Hubbard? Probably not, but given the whole Scientology/alien thing...

According to L-Ron's wiki entry, he was indeed named after L Ron Hubbard.

 

Rao...I hope ReadyandWilling doesn't see these posts.

 

The wiki section http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Manga_Khan#Relationships claims that this name was chosen because Hubbard was a science fiction author, with Heinlein and Dick. It also discusses J-Lo.

 

I still have those Bryne issues. I was fascinated with the concept of "Superman: Exile" I had nearly the entire run.

 

Is that Superman meets Cobra Commander?

 

IIRC, Byrne left Superman right in the middle of writing this story and the resolution was written by someone without access to Byrne's notes. I always wondered if there were some "trap doors" in the plot that didn't come off because of that.

 

L-Ron is most definitely named after Hubbard. However, he was created in and for the comic books back in the 80s. I think by Keith Giffin for JLA/JLI

 

This is kind of a non-story but in case anyone thought that there might be some truth to the stories that the little-known Adam Harris was a front-runner for Lex or that Lana Lang was to be played by Lindsay Lohan - you can discount them. Turns out that Mr Harris was behind the hoax(es).

I read that Lana Lang & Pete Ross would play a small part in this movie...would be cool to see these characters in Man Of Steel.
