Correct me if I'm slightly off on this: Kirk: "Mr Spock. The women of your planet are logical. It is the only planet in the galaxy able to make that claim."
"There's coffee in that nebula" - Janeway, Voyager, episode The Cloud. "My logic was not in error, but I was." - Tuvac, Voyager, episode Prime Factors. "seventy sixth rule of acquisition, Every once in a while, declare peace....it confuses the hell out of your enemies." - Quark, DS9, can't remember the episode. "At oh eight hundred hours, station time, the Romulan Empire formally declared war against the Dominion. They have already struck fifteen bases along the Cardassian border. So, this is a huge victory for the good guys. This may even be the turning point of the entire war. There's even a 'Welcome to the Fight' party tonight in the wardroom. So I lied, I cheated, I bribed men to cover the crimes of other men. I am an accessory to murder. But most damning thing of all, I think I can live with it. And if I had to do it all over again, I would. Garak was right about one thing. A guilty conscience is a small price to pay for the safety of the Alpha Quadrant, so I will learn to live with it. Because I can live with it. I can live with it." - Sisko, DS9, In he Pale Moon Light.
"That's why you came to me, isn't it captain? Because you knew I could do those things that you weren't capable of doing. Well, it worked. And you'll get what you wanted: a war between the Romulans and the Dominion. And if your conscience is bothering you, you should soothe it with the knowledge that you may have just saved the entire Alpha Quadrant, and all it cost was the life of one Romulan senator, one criminal... and the self-respect of one Starfleet officer. I don't know about you, but I'd call that a bargain." - Garak In the Pale Moonlight
"I would rather suffer the end of Romulus a thousand times... I would rather die in agony... than accept assistance from YOU".
"At the first sign of betrayal I WILL kill him, but I will return the body to you intact" "Towel please!"
Female Q (the great Suzie Plakson) "What are you doing with that dog? (Q and Janeway look at the puppy the Captain's holding) ... I'm not talking about the puppy." Tuvok: "Shall I flog them as well?"
TOS was before my time, still not a valid reason to exclude it from a question about the best line in Star Trek history. And whilst ENT might not have been the sstrongest show it doesn't mean it wouldn't have some good lines.
They used to say if man could fly, he'd have wings. But he did fly. He discovered he had to. Do you wish that the first Apollo mission hadn't reached the moon, or that we hadn't gone on to Mars and then to the nearest star? That's like saying you wish that you still operated with scalpels and sewed your patients up with catgut like your great-great-great-great-grandfather used to. I'm in command. I could order this. But I'm not because, Doctor McCoy is right in pointing out the enormous danger potential in any contact with life and intelligence as fantastically advanced as this. But I must point out that the possibilities, the potential for knowledge and advancement is equally great. Risk. Risk is our business. That's what the starship is all about. That's why we're aboard her. You may dissent without prejudice. Do I hear a negative vote? James T. Kirk - Return to Tomorrow
