Vektor, this ship is the most amazing original Trek design I've ever seen, and the modeling is perfect. Your talent for materials and lighting really raise your renders above most others.
I'd like to say that seeing this model really inspired me on my current modeling project (although I'm modeling Voyager, not an original design). Also, this is the only thread on this forum I have subscribed to, because I can't wait to see more of it.
I took a quick look around your site, but couldn't find out, what modeling software do you use?

Meh, this ship is OK, I suppose. I found a flaw on the saucer over to the left, there. A panel is a little lighter than it should be. Inexcusable.

More detailing on the nacelle pylons:

The sharp-eyed will note that, in addition to pylon greebling, I've reverted to an earlier design for the bussard grills. I just think this one flows better.

This design keeps getting better and better with every post. Makes me really want to start learning 3D modeling. Thanks for sharing.

No and there probably won't be any time soon. I'm am working hard to avoid any more detours from the path of simply getting this thing done. After that, I'm sure there will be many wallpapers. ;)

^Yeah, after this many years, beautiful though it is, I imagine you must be getting tired of looking at it!

    Awesome.

One of your older wallpaper renders of the Grandeur is my current wallpaper on my desktop. :techman: I think I have your pre-refit Enterprise on my laptop, which I haven't used in a while.

No new modeling updates, but I have started working on a fully rendered version of the "sketch" I first posted a couple dozen pages ago. I gained some valuable experience on my submission for the STO "Design the Next Enterprise" contest and I wanted to give the Grandeur the same treatment.

    Here's the progression so far:

I'll keep these coming over the next few days.

I think we need a new animated Trek series with this as the hero ship.
