Anyone know of a free program for creating comic strips? Yeah, I know I can make them with Paint, but I'm lazy.

Free Music Zilla Can rip IMEEM, Last.fm, Pandora, Myspace, eSnips, Mog, iJigg, Radio.blog.club and almost all social music services.
Here is a smattering of my favourite freeware: Audiograbber - Looks a bit rough around the edges but is pretty much the best CD ripper I've ever used. CCleaner - Spiffy system/registry cleanup program. Very useful. DVD Slideshow GUI - This is actually a collection of several programs, each of which plays a part in creating slideshow DVDs which will playback on pretty much any standalone DVD player, even older ones. Glitch - VST plugin for DAW software. The name conveys some idea of the sorts of sounds which can be eked from it. Revo Uninstaller - Kickass uninstaller with full control throughout an uninstallation (down to the identification and removal of registry files). Universal Extractor - Kickass package extractor, compatible with just about any common compressed filetype. The best part is that it just creates a new folder with the same name and it's done - no fooling around with vague context menus and such. VirtualBox - Virtualisation software. Since you're digging freeware, you might as well go the whole hog and try out some of the numerous free Linux distros. Also functions as a sandbox for testing suspicious websites and such.
For the Website devlopment section, you should add Microsoft Visual Studio Web Developer Express. Its a Freeware version of the paid one, I use it and its great
F.lux Has anyone else heard of this? It's a program for your computer that's designed to change the color temperature of your display based on whether it's day or night. I've been using it for a little under a week now and I love it. It's really jarring to use it for an hour or two at night and then disable it. Anyway, I recommend people check it out at least! http://www.stereopsis.com/flux/
I love that program and I am eternally thankful for you pointing it out to me, Kestra! I encourage everyone to use it.
eLibrary is a simple, basic one that I use, though it has a few more features than BookDB2. http://www.openelibrary.org/
Re: F.lux I found an e-library organizer reader that's free and better than eLibrary...calibre... http://calibre-ebook.com/ http://calibre-ebook.com/demo
http://www.resonance-asm.com/ Nifty little ambient multi-sound looper/mixer, offers far more than the typical "crickets and ocean waves" type program, with FX, presets, the ability to import your own sounds (TOS bridge sounds?...), minimizes to the tray, etc.
Nice post! It's really huge list of freeware that is useful to us. Thanks to share this huge list of freeware. It's great.
Just got portable GIMP tonight on my laptop, haven't uploaded it yet. Got it from sourceforge.net. Anyone else have it on their computer? Is it safe to use on a laptop? Also got regular GIMP on it as well, haven't uploaded it either. Anyone use it on Windows 7? If so, has it been stable enough on it? And is it safe enough to use on a laptop? One of my new favorite freewares to use: The instructions on how to use it, then the link to the freeware itself... how to convert photoshop brushes to paintshop ones Disclaimer: from scrapbookcampus.com Got the link originally on a Corel fan site, so credit goes to the person who shared it with me. abrMate -- the said freeware Disclaimer: from texturemate.com It's a little tricky to use at first, but once you get the hang of it, it's pretty fun . Goes well with Corel Paintshop Pro X4, which is the version I'm using. The newest version (X5) has an abrviewer, but from what I've read about it so far, it's still too unstable to even consider buying at this point. So this is a pretty good alternative.
