A cruiser concept I came up with today. It's a little larger than I wanted but it'll fit into the story I had in mind for it, so I don't mind.

I'm really liking how the Lion class's nacelles shorten in diameter halfway, and how there are what appear to be vents behind the thicker half of the nacelle.

I believe you said that the Renegade herself is not a Starfleet vessel, correct? Does this mean that a Starfleet vessel that uses the same registry number (NCC-1789) could hypothetically exist in the same reality?

Is the the Lion class used by Starfleet? I am thus far assuming as much, given that she comes off to me as a large compact warship.

For the sake of filling in some gaps, I'm thinking that Lion's class ship's registry is somewhere in between the various registries used by later build Constitutions. Thus far, in my mind, the Lion herself has NCC-1785, or some registry number not used by any ship listed that has a visual example. I'm just thinking that it would be nice if there were some background information on the Lion class herself.

Will you be listing any of the Renegade's sister ships?

I'm liking the stocky, well armed look of the Lion class.

This effect would look great on a shipboard display.

That actually reminds me of the concept art version of the Enterprise from "The Motion Picture." I could see this using the NX class saucer section as a late 22nd century cruiser.

Needed to take a break from Star Trek for a bit to work on some original universe designs.

Still pretty much a WIP. Standard operational crew is 5, minimal is 2. Composed of three sections:
Front section = command module, with observation tower (main control area is in center of module to offer protection), docking ports starboard and port
Middle section = habitat module, crew living quarters with side mounted modules (undetermined purpose, most likely sensors or bussards, similar but not the same as ST)
Back section = engineering module, jump drive and propulsion area, composed of mechanical stuff (TBD)
Note this ship is an experimental prototype for testing the jump drive tech, therefor not equipped for extended periods alone in space. Also this ship is built sometime in 22nd century, 400-500 years before the main story of the Rimworld universe.

Cool design. The first thing I thought before reading the text was that those 2 pods were part of a centrifugal force based gravity system. Question, are the decks laid out horizontally or vertically to the direction of travel on the ship?

Two more for the Pre-TOS Era.

The remake of the Hammerstad, Captain Jack James Rice's first assignment. Decided to remake it as a TOS-era ship instead of the TMP version I used before. Which makes this ship very old by Jack's time.

Hmm... This has something of a DS9 Defiant feel to it but for the TOS era. neat.

Some very interesting work here. I like seeing some of the concept art coupled with the CGI work... nicely done. I'm also not big on the whole buggy idea, but for a pre-TOS time, it's nowhere near as silly as it would be with the Argo. For the poll, TNG is my favorite era, but TOS is my second favorite.

You do realize that the nacelles and pylons have been omitted from this scene for faster rendering right?

Aliens! Aliens everywhere! They are among us!

    I hope not....
Anyways, started working on a TOS alien vessel for a new race I created. Purple and grey will be the theme here.
